Introduction
The main aim of this presentation is to provide a clear
picture of the function of work health safety (WHS) in the
workplace. This presentation is to use the skills as well as
the knowledge that is necessary for the process of passing
advice on the duties of the legislative, their rights and
commitment of individuals and association that are
assigned to work in the health and safety legislation.
It will include the following, recognizing of WHS
legislation, duties, responsibilities, rights, and required
activity to make sure there is compliance in the place of

helping people with the advice on the legislative responsibility,
commitment and rights of people and association prescribed in the
WHS laws as a facet of the progressive approach of managing WHS.
Details of the audiences
My colleagues in the workplace, officers and managers require
more information about the WHS. This has been as a result of the
death and injuries that have been recently reported in the
workplace.
Therefore it has come to the attention of the management that
there is a need to reduce social cost which is imposed on the
community by educating and providing in-service training to the
workers.

management could only minimize workplace crises such as
diseases and injuries.
for the organization to have active operating risk management,
all the stakeholders must be made aware of the WHS rules.
According to Barr and Welch (2012)In this field of study, there is
plenty of resources and information, but the main problem is
where and how the data can be gotten.
 Also, WHS covers the diverse discipline of sciences such as
medicine, industrial hygiene and therefore it is necessary to
acquire this knowledge.
