INTRODUCTION
Supporting significant life events assignment report is for the individuals who are dealing
with several diseases. In this particular case, the study of a person whose name is Jacqui will be
discussed. Also, this report will cover topics like impacts of these diseases on his career,
workplace, and family members (Swartz and et. al. 2015). What he is going through, and the
symptoms he is facing will be elaborated. It will also include how organisational policies support
individuals who are facing these significant life events. How the organisation where Jacquie
works can support him regarding the disease, and the role of health care organisations to treat
this patient will be discussed.
Task 1
1.1 impacts of significant life events on individuals
Jacqui who is the patient in this case, may have faced some emotional issues by loosing
someone in past or had some bad experience in the past. He is portrayed in this case as
bereavement. After that no so good experiences now, he is diagnosed with Alzheimer's. It is the
situation called facing significant life events. This results in mood swings, changes in behaviour
and not remembering things. These diseases can completely disturb daily life routine of the
individuals. They find it difficult in doing their work properly (Yan and Sui, 2014). Furthermore,
they can forget things frequently. Even the persons can feel sleepy in long working hours and
seems tensed, or less energetic than before. There are some serious impacts on individuals which
are given below:
Physical impacts: It leaves a huge physical impact on the body of people like Jacqui. They can
feel throb pains, stretched muscles etc. this kind of pains and less energy brings fatigue in body.
Bereavement: It can put a person in a roller-coaster ride of emotions. These Unconventional
emotions can change at anytime with changes in circumstances (Newman and Newman, 2017).
This is called as bereavement.
Social impacts: Bereavement leaves fewer impacts socially on a person. But still, by the above
impacts, it can be said that people who are facing such problems should be given more support
so that it cannot harm them socially in the future.
1.2 Possible group responses
Individuals who are suffering from bereavement may receive various responses from
group of persons such as friends, family and other loved ones. The society also gives responses
