INTRODUCTION Life events is defined as a discrete experiences through which an individual goes throughin their daily life and has a effect on the personal and social activities. Major life events for theindividuals include marriage, divorce, illness, injury as well as changing or loosing the job.Normally, these life events are unexpected and unpredictable which occurs in the individual life.This project is based on understanding and determining the significance of the life events onindividual (Wrzus and et.al., 2013). It will throw highlights on impact of the life events onothers and also analyses support from others individuals which are experiencing life events. Inaddition to this it will also determine responses provided by the health and social care servicesthat are highly supporting and experiencing significant life events. TASK 11.1. Life events are the uncertainties and the conditions which exist in individual’s life andhas a significant impact on one's own life. There are different life events which exist inindividual’s life and due to which they are not able to survive and sustain in their life in aeffective manner. Two significant life events which are mentioned in the case study is aboutDementia and Bereavement which are discussed beneath-Impact of Dementia- Dementia is general term of illness which causes a decline in mental ability of anindividual which generally involves memory loss. Alzheimer's is the most common type ofdementia disease. Jacqui's is suffering from dementia under the case study. It has variousphysical, psychological and social impact on one's own individual life. Physical impact that the individual faces is the loss of appetite, that is which causes theindividual to forgot the most important things and makes them difficult for them to recallthe most important things. In context to the case study of Jacqui which is suffering fromthe physical impact of sleeping problem and negatively impacts the health. It will have psychological impact on individuals life in the form of depression, loosing ofself-confidence, this creates disturbance in one's own life (Luhmann and et. al,, 2012. ). Individuals facing this problem have social impact of having problem in communicationand interaction with others and this makes the individual socially isolated from others. 1
Impact of BereavementIt is the state of loss when someone close to an individual is died. This problem issuffered by Gemma after the death of her mother. This life event also has a physical,physiological and social impact on one' s own life. Physical impact of bereavement are increase or decrease in the appetitive, lack of energy,lack of sleep and difficulty in breathing problem. Physiological impacts which Gemma faces are feeling of sadness and loneliness whichhas negative impact on one's own health.Social impacts are individuals stop interacting with friends and family and startsremaining isolated from each other. This affects their health as it will always keep themin loneliness feeling (Riley and Rubarth, 2015). 1.2 When the individual has impact from significant life events it is vital for them to havesupport and responses of group so as to live in a effective manner. In addition to this there arevarious responses which provides emotional and social support to the individuals to get recoverfrom the disease in a proper manner, discusses as follows- The major support should be provided from the family members such as parents of Jacquishould provide support which will help in better recovery of the disease as well Gemmashould be provide moral support by her family members which would help her out in fastrecovery and helps in managing significant life events. Associations- There are also some associations which provide support to the individualby understanding their issues and emotions and help them in fast recovery throughincreasing their involvement in various activities (Woodhead, Northrop and Edelstein,2016). Media Support- This is a effective platform towards which the individual gets supporttowards proper communication and interaction with their friends and family members.This platforms allows the Jacqui and Gemma to properly share their problems on variousplatforms and get suggestions and opinions from the different group of people and helpsthem in fast recovery of the disease. 2
