Introduction
The following discussion is based on to obtain a deeper understanding of the potential
of business as a key driver in sustainability. It states that six sustainable development goals
are very crucial and important for every business development of the country in hoping that
these goals satisfy the needs of potential business in such a way that it will create a positive
change in the growth of business development and become successful in 2030 (DESA, 2019).
Sustainable development goals are very useful in human development. It means that
to fulfil the needs in present without compromising the ability to fulfil the needs of future
generations. Sustainable development goals occur with a positive change and help in the
growth of development which is very beneficial in reducing poverty and increasing job
opportunity (Mishra, 2019).
Sustainable development goals that helps in business development
Goal 1
Sustainable development goal 1 which helps in business development is that it is
important for the country to remove all the forms of poverty everywhere. It is very important
that for a sustainable employment, economic growth should be inclusive and should promote
equality. No more people suffer from malnourishment, no more health issues, no more
discrimination, no more rich and poor is the basic fundamental concept of this goal by 2030
(Walker, 2019). By 2030, it is important to reduce the poverty of children, men and women at
least one fourth of the proportion every year. Current estimation of poor people is that less
than $1.25 measure as people living on poverty (DESA, SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
GOAL 1, 2019). They need protection, economic growth, education to their children and job

opportunities to remove poverty. By 2030, aim is to have the equal rights between men and
women, reduce exposure and vulnerability, provides adequate and developing needs in
developing countries and to create the policy framework in national, regional and
international levels that relates to the sound of poverty.
By 2030, the aim is to remove poverty from everywhere across the country by
educating their children, fulfil the requirements of a person’s need, improving health
facilities, government intervention in organizing programs to provide job opportunities to the
poor people. By 2030, it is to improve the standard of living (DESA, Goal 1: No poverty,
2020). Therefore the goal is very important to be taken into the consideration by 2030 in a
successful business of a country.
Gayathri Vasudevan is one of the social entrepreneurs and a founder of LabourNet.
She organised education, employment programs across the country and provided free
electricity and water to 26 million poor people in 12 countries on her own barefoot (layd,
2020).
Goal 2
It states that no more hunger, no more food insecurities sufficient nutrition and
sustainable growth in agriculture. This goal is briefly very important for the economic growth
of the country and their successful business because food insecurities are an underlying cause
malnourishment and create lots of health issues. Therefore it is very important that by 2030
every person of the country including low income and poor people should not suffer from
hunger and food insecurities which mean lack of good quality of food and unhygienic cheap
food (United Nation Statistic Division, 2020). By 2030 it ensures that everyone should have a

proper nutrition which is a basic requirement of a person’s body each day. If people are
healthy then they will properly functioning themselves into the business.
By 2030 it is important to improve the food, textile needs and technology
development. By 2030, maintaining the seeds in gender diversity, cultivated more trees and
plants, two times of agricultural productivity from now and income of small scale producers
so that they will produce more in the future at a reasonable cost (Scrutiny). Therefore this
goal is very important because every person must be fit and healthy. By 2030 organization of
various programs to be conduct because it will be beneficial in reducing food insecurities and
malnourishment across the country.
Matt Moreau and Kori Chilibeck, are the two founders of the social enterprise known
as the earth group. The aim of this project is to feed and educate poor people and especially
children around the world (Matt Moreau and Kori Chilibeck, Earth Group, 2017).
Goal 5
The 5th Goal of sustainable development is to empower all the women and girls and
no more gender inequality. It is very important that all the women and girls of the country
should do job and empower themselves. It is one of the fundamental human rights for the
country which is very necessary for a prosperous and peaceful growth in a development. By
2030, this goal aim is to eliminate all forms of violence towards women and girls, undertake
reforms to give the women equal rights in utilizing economic resources (GOAL 5: Gender
equality, May).
By 2030, this goal ensures that women’s full and effective participation including
leadership, decision making in the country will increase. End of all the forms of
discrimination against all women and girls. End of all the harmful practices against women
and child. By 2030, Government will definitely organize many programs and policies so that

women and girls will take the benefit from it and empower themselves with the best of their
ability.
In January 2020 Nkem Okacha, founder of Mamamoni Limited took initiatives in
empowering the poor women and girls. She organized many free vocational skill training
programs for the poor women and opened many opportunities to work in her company (Loyd,
2020).
Goal 8
This goal is to promote fully decent productive employment and sustainable economic
growth. It states that unemployment should definitely remove from the country to improvise
the standard of living. Sustainable economic growth is very important and crucial for the
potential business development as the growth in economy and standard of living will
definitely rise.
By 2030, this goal ensures that every person of the country is employed and the work
should be decent and productive enough which promote sustained and inclusive economic
growth (Decent Work and Economic Growth, 2020). Productive employment helps a person
to work with more efficiency. It is important that at least 6.5% GDP growth per annum is
necessary for the leased developed countries. By 2030, it is necessary to achieve full and
productive employment and to take initiatives in effective measures including no more child
labour, recruitment and the use of child soldiers.
One of the social worker Dario Otero, the founder of Youth Lens 360 is currently
working to empower the youth so that they can set their goals high and he help them in
implementing the plan. He believed that a potential business can only grow if the employee
or the workers work according to their passion and interest (Otero, 2020).

Goal 9
Development of quality and resilient infrastructure is necessary in an economic
growth. This goal states to build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable
industrialization and foster innovation. By 2030, technology enforcement, research and
innovation, is necessary to promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization. It will
significantly raise industry’s share of employment and GDP. It will significantly increase the
information and communication technology to provide unlimited internet and commodities in
the countries (Build resilient infrastructure, promote sustainable industrialization and foster
innovation, 2019).
By 2030, in developing areas it will also raises small scale industries and the job
opportunities, In order to facilitate the sustainable development in the country, business
development will provide excess number of financial support in a reasonable cost and also
the technological and technical support.
They will also support the domestic technology development, research and innovation
in the developing country. Therefore a good quality of development in industrialization and
technology development will leads to improve the business development in 2030.
Jim Fruchterman, Bentech technology is serving humanity from almost 6 years. He is
a social entrepreneur working for the sustainable growth. He has been initiating in making the
best quality projects on infrastructure for the sustainable development (Loyd, Jim
Fructherman, Benetech, 2019).
Goal 14
In the following goal it is very important to have a clean environment and for this it is
necessary that using the sea, marine and ocean, this goal is to conserve them for sustainable

development because people of the country and for the partnership with other countries,
having an eco-friendly environment is very important. By 2030, it is necessary to prevent the
pollution from seas and marine. It will not only increase the interest of people to work but
also to open a new industry. Fisheries are one of the prominent activities and the industries
related to this activity do lot of business, therefore by 2030 the aim is to have a clean and
pollution free environment.
By 2030, it is important to sustainably protect the coastal ecosystems and mountain
ecosystems by taking action in order to achieve healthy, clean and prosperous oceans and
strengthening their resilience. This goal is aimed to regulate harvesting and end the
overfishing practices. It will raise the economic benefits to oceans and Small Island including
sustainable and inclusive management of fisheries, aquaculture and tourism.
Nakul Saran, an employee of McKinsey & Company took initiative in 2018 to work
for the issues based on fisheries and pollution that harm the ocean and marine. He found a
solution on this problem known as TURF which appreciated by many VIPs (Layd, 2020).
Conclusion
The above discussion has been concluded the goals of sustainable development. Goal
1 states that by removing all the forms of poverty everywhere across the country. Goal 2
states that no more hunger, food insecurities only proper nutrition for the body and growth in
sustainable agriculture. Goal 5th signifies that there is no difference between men and women
and every women and girls especially from poor society must be empower to achieve
sustainable development by 2030. The goal 8 is to promote fully decent and productive
employment where sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth is must. Goal 9
states to build a good quality of infrastructure and to promote foster innovation and inclusive

industrialization. The 14th goal using the seas, marine and ocean, it is important to conserve
them for sustainable development.
The impact of these goals in business development is very important and if the goals
utilized efficiently then by 2030 economic growth will increase and the development of
potential business will going to be successful.
