INTRODUCTION
Sustainable and responsible tourism in defined as that dimensions in which tourism tries
to maximise benefits of their local communities so that negative social impact can be
minimised. Besides this as local people are associated with fragile culture so Sustainable and
responsible tourism make sure that no sentiments of local people are being hurt and at the same
time economic benefits can also be attained. Sustainable tourism takes full account of their
current and economic trends so that future generation do not need to compromise in terms of
meeting their own needs (Shen, Sotiriadis and Zhou, 2020). Whereas responsible tourism leads
to consume everything in responsible manner so that wellbeing of host communities can be
enhanced and appropriate social and economic benefits can be attained. This report is
emphasised over using of responsible and sustainable tourism practices in Venice as the city is
one of the most tourist attraction in the world and in order to manage its heritage sustainable
and responsible tourism could be helpful for enhancing long time survival of this tourist place.
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
Aim
To understand regarding sustainable and responsible tourism management for promoting
destinations.
Objectives
To investigate practices used by different tourist places in terms of sustainable and
responsible tourism.
To discuss the linkage between sustainable and responsible management within tourism.
MAIN BODY
Treatment of destinations versus tourism and hospitality organisations
The treatment over destinations under tourism and hospitality is near about same as both
of these sectors are linked with each other and highly dependent over visitors and tourists. For

instance Venice is a tourist destination and under which there are so many hospitality
organisation are existed which helps the visitors to enhance their experience in Venice and
obtain higher level of satisfaction (McCool and Bosak, 2016). With the help of hospitality
organisation a tourist place provides ultimate level of satisfaction in order to meet high
expectations of their visitors. Using sustainable and responsible tourism may lead the
destination to acquire various benefits as in terms of prominence and long term survival as well.
On the other hand hospitality organisations are truly dependent over destinations as when
visitors are coming at large pace then this will lead in enhancing prominence for tourist
destination. On the contrary those people who are only willing to enjoy their vacations on these
people hospitality industry are required to put their more emphasis.
Lake District is another tourist location which is a national part situated in northwest
England and regarded as one of the popular destinations for visitors in relation of spending
vacations. The destination is majorly recognised for glacial ribbon lakes and rugged fell
mountains. The area covered within Lake District is near about 2363 KM which is regarded as
the highest peak called as Scafell Pike. The place is known for their glaciers and natural beauty
places and in this manner numbers of tourists are high at this place so hospitality is the major
element for Lake District to acquire higher number of tourist and make their vacations
remarkable.
National gallery is one of the most famous and old museum gallery situated in UK in
which European paintings from 1260 to 1920 are being stored. This is the place which is visited
by employee person who is coming to England for their vacations. The museum is free for their
visitors and guidance and lectures are also given for visitors which is free as well. This
destination is associated with huge visitors’ footfall due to which this is necessary for the
managerial team to put their emphasis over hospitality and at this place tourist is coming from
every corner of the world. Managing tourism refers to managing the place and managing
hospitality means taking care of visitors so that footfall can be increased.
Destinations are regarded as the place at which people are visiting for some objectives
or agenda. This is significant for hospitality industry to attract large amount of people so that
destinations can be promoted and urge for touring can be generated. Besides this treatment of
tourism and hospitality industry is wider which helps in giving such opportunities by which
