The K2 project entails four buildings with 96 apartments of residential. The building was committed to achieving the following listed goalsA lifespan of 200 yearsThe efficient ability of renewable energy generation on the site.Minimal or complete non-consumption of renewable sources of energyHalve the average use of water in the town.The objectives were outlined for all the 96 apartments to consume: a mains electricity of 55 percent less, a mains gas of 46 percent less and a mains water of 53 percent less inclusive of water for irrigation in comparison to a normal standard apartment on a year basis (Azhar, 2011).The Aquacell G10 in actionWith an aim of achieving the goal of reduction of mains usage of water for the household, the G10 greywater system of recycling was installed by Aquacell. Showers and hand basins of the apartments form the collection source of greywater located at the floors of K2 buildings and after Aquacell treatment of the water, it is then reused for flushing of toilets and irrigation purposes.
