Executive Summary
The report intends to shed light on the process of sustainable management in the particular
light of the tourist activities of Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. The report begins by offering
an overview of the concept of sustainability and sustainable management and also the manner
in which it is being utilized by the park. The report next discusses the manner in which the
park manages its operations, resources and brand image while taking into effective
consideration the process of sustainability. Furthermore, the report also discusses the manner
in which the notion of sustainability is being utilized by the park for sustainable development
and also to contribute in a significant manner towards the environment, society and the
economy of Australia. Lastly, the report concludes by offering two recommendations,
namely, the use of corporate social responsibility activities and ecological footprinting to
attain a higher level of growth.

Introduction
As opined by Montabon, Pagell and Wu (2016), the notion that the organizations need
to take responsibility for the damage that they business actions are causing to the
environment and the society have gained a substantial amount of prominence in the
contemporary. Galpin, Whitttington and Bell (2015) are of the viewpoint that the brand
image of an organization depends on the significantly on the extent to which it contributes
positively towards the development of the planet as well as the society in which it is
operational. This is important from the perspective of the long-term growth as well as
development of the organizations but also for ensuring that they are not over-utilizing the
resources of the planet. This report will analyze the concept of sustainable management in the
particular context of the management process used by the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park.
Sustainability and Sustainable Management
Ernst et al. (2016) have articulated the fact that sustainability can be defined as the
process through which the organizations are being able to manage change in an ever changing
business environment so as to attain a certain minimum level of growth without causing the
over-utilization of resources. As stated by Olawumi and Chan (2018), the concept of
sustainable management had gained prominence in the particular light of the fact that the
natural resources of the planet are fast depleting and if any substantial action is not being
taken then there will no resources left for the future generations. The net result of this is that
the organizations need to manage the diverse affairs of their business in such a manner that
they are not only not over-utilizing the resources of the planet but at the same are being able
to contribute positively towards the planet, society as well as the economic prospects of the
nation in which they are operational (Engert, Rauter & Baumgartner, 2016). In this regard,
one of the most important frameworks of sustainability which had gained prominence in the
