Introduction
Sustainable tourism denotes the sustainability of tourism and hospitality within the
industry as a whole. On the other hand, Responsible tourism is work as the individuals’
action that further affect people and business. These impacts make clear purposes to create a
sustainable hospitality industry. Sustainable tourism is one of the major concepts that help in
completing the tourism experience. This makes effective tourism experiences that are used to
achieve economic, social and different environmental issues. Whereas, responsible tourism is
one of the significant factors in tourism that is used to work and make more approaches that
are consumed in the tourism industry (Mihalic, 2021). For the completion of the project the
chosen tourism spot Gijon, Spain. It has a wonderful atmosphere and is quite beautiful that
become the effective place for visiting the large number of tourists. In the Spain market,
223,045 number of the hospitality industry are growing. Which are useful for the growth of
travel business to provide significant in Spain to use sustainability methods. This is used to
make a helpful approach for managing organized growth to complete work and overcome
major challenges. It is the need to complete work with effective sustainable planning to work
in a different perspective for the growth of the industry to survive in the world. It can be said
that sustainable tourism is all about re-thinking and re-focusing to adopt nature. This report
includes treatment of the destination, tourism and hospitality industry in the chosen
respective destination. Furthermore involves the specified policies, principles and practices
which are used for the growth of the tourism industry are discussed in this report.

Treatment of destinations versus tourism and hospitality organisations
Hospitality management and hospitality consist for implementing compressive
management practice and models to the domain of lodging, food and related to hospitality. It
helps serve their markets and people to work and manage with specific growth such as
helpful, polite and friendly services to their customers. All of these qualities are used and
effective which become useful to retain a large number of customers. It will help generate
systematic growth in different factors such as combining their products and services, having
an effective and reciprocal communication channel (Van Rheede, 2021). Furthermore, it will
include the management of providing relationships and make growth within the organisation
at different channels. Tourism management is needed to be upgraded and manage the

societies in different ways that help the company and their customers to provide appropriate
accommodation, accessibility and attraction. After Covid-19 there is the various impact
which hospitality industry faced and bore the challenges. The hospitality industry boosts the
revenue of the country and create thousands of job across the world. It seems that the
hospitality organisation should try to follow the sustainability and management process to
work effectively and manage their progress to achieve the demand of their customers in the
market. Tourism is the act that provides pleasure in travelling or for any business purpose. It
is helpful to make systematic changes that help consider growth in managing performance
and make effective future growth (Shinde, 2021). This working is considered in most
challenging atmosphere that includes activities to make ticketing and guide the tourists
around popular use of attractions. It would help provide growth with a specific treatment to
analyse the challenge and provide systematic growth in major challenges to become popular
attractions in Gijon, Spain.
Tourism management refers to handling major and surprising activities which
provide a level of happiness to the tourists. That helps manage growth to make activities for
providing a happiness ineffective people with the management practices, training and skills
to expertise to obtain management positions in different accommodation to travel (Seraphin
and Thanh, 2020). There are different business administration that is useful for managing
marketing, finance and effective human resources teams from different perspectives. The
tourism industry is helps in achieving a separate work culture around the most popular
attractions. It is providing an eventual growth for managing in travel marketing places. It is a
process to adopt different management practices to make a growth in hospitality
management. To enjoy with different people, for allowing to achieve critical issues in the
different hospitality industry on the growth of tourism management. It is one of the
beneficial factors in tourism to achieve different jobs for the growth of workers with little
and no formal training for the long term employment opportunities. Most of the destinations
are used various kinds of policies and practices that are useful for managing challenges to
tend for numerical growth in the tourism workforce planning. The tourism industry is
providing significant growth to achieve and provide numerous opportunities to reduce the
poverty of the country.
The tourism and hospitality industry is work under different perspective to work and
achieve their growth into the market by attracting a large number of tourists. It would be
beneficial to work and manage the tourism industry. For the future growth to work and

achieve effective statistics on the hospitality industry to manage growth into the Gijon, Spain
based destination (Perkumienė and et.al., 2020). The use of sustainable tourism and
managing the sources to provide tourism and achieve systematic growth in achieving targets
in managing a large number of challenges in the market. It is important to work and make
sustainable tourism in different sectors and achieve tourism into work and achieve
systematic growth in appropriate sectors. Both the hospitality and tourism industry works
hand in hand as they both are dependent on each other. The tourism industry cannot work
without hospitality sector as the tourist involved in this sector have to be consume the
services of hospitality as they have to undertake the hotel services in order to consume
services of tourism.

Different principles are used by the tourism industry for implementing more
attractive tourist spots in their organisational perspective. Some of the principles which are
used by sustainable tourism are related to, using effective resources and sustainable tourism
that helps in managing and conversation for using resources like natural, social and cultural
perspectives. Another policy is to try to reduce overconsumption and avoid waste materials
for restoring the long term environmental damage which helps make the quality of the
tourism industry (Garg and Pandey, 2020). For instance, the tourism industry must ensure
that its services do not cause not harm to the environment and damage the resources. The
third policy is related to managing biodiversity which helps in maintaining and promoting
natural, social and cultural diversity in a different perspective to make a long term impact
with sustainability and tourism for the base of future industry. This is beneficial for
managing and working effectively into the market and make appropriate growth in
addressing the major challenge and using these policies to apply effective ways in the
tourism sectors. The fourth principle is related to supporting local economies and making
some systematic reviews that provide a wide range of local economies that are associated
with environmental and local values. For instance, TUI must ensure that it must generate
sufficient revenues that can contribute in the local economy by way of generating
employment in the society so that domestic income can be gained by the business. The sixth
policy is related to consulting stakeholders and the public. This helps consult in between the
tourism industry and their local communities, company and institutions. It is helpful for
essential features if they are too able to work with each other and resolve potential conflicts

of interest. The seventh principle that is used by sustainable and responsible tourism is to
provide appropriate training to their staff. It is useful for making staff training that helps in
integrating sustainable tourism into various work practices that are associated with the
recruitment of personnel levels, improves products quality of tourism products. Eight
principles are related to marketing tourism. It is related to marketing that provides new
tourists with full with needed and responsible information which influences respective
growth to the natural and cultural environments of destination areas to enhance their
customer satisfaction. The last principle is to use different undertaking research that is
associated with ongoing research by the industry while using effective data collection.
Furthermore, analysis of that data is essential to help and solve the problems to bring
benefits to destinations, the travel industry, and their consumers.
Strategic planning played a very important role in various organisations and also in the
hospitality industry. The rapid changes in the organisation have created more importance for
the strategic process. The standard of people has been improved and has also contributed in
the development of the hospitality industry. In context to various organisations involved in
the hospitality sector such as premier inn, Hyatt and various other hotels are focusing and
working upon their strategies in order to increase the popularity of the strategic planning and
has also implemented changes in the industry and has also increased the global
competitition. In addition to that the executives of the hospitality industry found the rapid
development of the strategic planning quite useful and also the organisations are engaging in
the planning of strategies for higher performance. From various studies it has been
determined that hotels in the UK have found the performance of business to be highly
profitable and are actively participating in the process.
In context to organisations, the companies in the hospitality industry uses various corporate
strategies that helps in development of the organisation and its overall performance. In
context to organisations such as Hyatt, Premier Inn etc uses the Bowman’s strategy clock
which is a very easy and comprehensive strategy tool that helps in providing options for the
positioning. The strategy is commonly used in conjunction with the tools such as Ansoff
matrix and is this strategy is also a extension of the porter’s generic strategy. In context to
Bowman’s strategy the tool has various advantages and disadvantages. The major benefits
that the organisation provides involves a more comprehensive way as compared to other

alternatives, the strategy is quite easy and simple to understand and also offers a range of
starting points in order to discuss the concept of strategy. The bowman’s strategy clock was
developed by David Faulkner and Cliff Bowman and was published in the year 1997 and
plays as a guide on deciding upon the strategic direction. In context to other strategy it
basically involves the Porter generic strategies which includes the Cost leadership,
differentiation and Focus. In context to Hyatt, the organisation uses cost leadership strategy
for the purpose to gain a competitive advantage. It basically involves two methods of
achieving the cost leadership strategy that includes increasing the market share with charging
low prices and also making a reasonable profit on each sales. This strategy basically involves
the leader in terms of the cost in the market or industry. In context to organisations who are
capable of achieving cost leadership usually have various advantages such as efficient
logistics, access to the capital and a low cost base of finding a way to sustainably cutting
down the costs.
Another strategy involves the differentiation strategy which is used by organisations such as
Premier Inn and the differentiation involves the services and products and ways of attracting
the consumers. In order to succeed in the differentiation strategy the organisations need to
deliver the best quality services or products to its customers and also working upon the
marketing and effective sales in order to understand the opportunities and benefits of the
differentiated offerings.
In addition to that it also involves the Focus strategies which basically focuses on niche
markets and having a better understanding of the dynamics of the company and
understanding the needs of the consumers and also developing well quality products and also
serving customers in the best unique way and building a strong loyalty among the
consumers.
In context to hospitality sector, there are various issues and challenges faced by the company
in the hotel industry. The strategic changes comes in various forms in the modern
organisation such as Hyatt and Premier Inn. It basically involves innovative product pivot,
new vertical focus and new leadership style. It is important for the organisations to have a
deep understanding of the corporate strategy. Every organisation need to have a proper
strategic plan for the purpose to develop, innovate and grow a organisation and its vision. A
proper plan helps the organisation to focus on things and also helps in improving the work
and also helps the leaders to show the budgetary resources, dedicate time and human capital.

The major issues or challenges faced by the organisation in implementing strategies involves
the following :
Lack of follow through: While implementing strategies it is important to have continue and
regular formal views on the new strategy for reviewing the process and ensuring the plan and
also making necessary tweaks.
Ineffective Training: In order to implement strategies it is very important to provide effective
training to the employees as ineffective training might result in affecting the implementation
of the strategies.
Lack of communication: The communication process plays a very important role in
execution of the new strategies. A effective and efficient communication plan helps in better
implementation of the strategies. The lack of communication might lead to widespread
uncertainty and disjoint teams.
There are different principles, practices and processes are used to manage sustainable
and responsible practices. It will help manage and conduct different sectors that are useful
for achieving economic, environmental and social practices in the market. Destination
management and the hospitality industry can work and manage sustainable information to
work effectively. This will help me get into the market and gain appropriate knowledge in
different sectors. Sustainability is mainly referred to make a helpful consideration and trying
to get an effective approach (Milano, Novelli and Cheer, 2021). For example, TUI is a
company that helps in serving different tourism advantages across the world. They are
providing a wide range of services that work with the major challenges and practices to learn
different factors and growth. TUI is providing work to their customers to make effective
sustainable and responsible management services that gain more profit. It will helpful for the
hospitality industry to work and achieve growth to make social progress and work with the
index. These policies are mainly related to the sustainable and tourism factors which are
helpful for generate different sectors and growth in the tourism industry. It will be helpful for
one of the significant growth and achieve success while using the sustainable activities. In

current environment the use of tourism sector and growth will be helpful for providing
relevant sucecss and growth in order to attract large number of tourist and gain the profitable
sucess of economy at national and international level.
Sustainability and responsible management are effective and helpful for generating
high principles for the tourism industry or for the destination to manage effective growth. It
will help generate a high amount of completing practices environmental, social and
economic stages in different sectors. Sustainability management provides a large purpose
and growth to the companies to renew to achieve commitment to gain basic goals. After the
outbreak of Covid-19, many of the tourism industry and destination sectors were badly
affected and their declining revenue in the market (Fang, 2020). It will be Hybrid the
working conditions that enable growth for the future work and make systematic process. All
of these are basic to planning, organising, controlling and leading the team management of
the tourism industry in a more effective perspective. This method is helpful for work to
achieve systematic growth in different sustainability, responsibility and ethics to provide a
suitable perspective of tourism. Some of the major different sectors towards to own
responsible management issue to understand and make communication, international
management to make effective practices. It will be helpful for the use of challenging nature
to come and make their management practices within the hospitality industry.
There are different ways like providing use of travel industry, apply sustainable
practices and other processing activities to make responsible management business
environment to achieve different travel tourism. There are different sectors to achieve
sustainable energy to make strategies for the shared public can deliver the benefits to achieve
goodwill to a better reputation. To achieve sustainability and make a public commitment to
work business practices that help the tourism industry to work and manage their data to work
appropriately (Musavengane, 2021). This will be helpful for make lacking sustainability plan
to make market penalties rather than proactive companies seeing a market premium. There
are different challenges sustainability to make systematic sustainability represent make
opportunities to make diversifying efforts under opportunities to organise for efforts public
to achieve an objective. Sustainability's supply chain of a business for managing primary
level for the growth in sustainability (Hjalager, 2021). It will be helpful for strongly
embracing sustainability and true change to sustainability management.

TUI provide a large number of attractive places and different accommodation
services to gain profitability and increase resistance within the employees of the
organisation. They try to make implementation strategy that applies to the projects. It is
associated with the work effectively and applying different strategies into practical life. TUI
work effectively but when it comes to implementing the plan, they faced different challenges
such as the practice of sustainable management within the society and applying to the local
areas to achieve effective growth in the company to gain and attract to achieve effective
different organisational context (Dávid, 2021). Another example is Hilton Hotels, they
provide a good ambience, large varieties of services and programmes that help make key
challenges and practices to apply growth into the market. Different challenges help consider
different enjoy to key attraction points that have been used by the hotel to complete the
effective growth into the market. It is determined that the hotel try to decline the negative
impact on the biodiversity that are unstable practice to produce, waste and different
unsustainable design (Jasrotia, Kamila and Patel, 2021). The hospitality industry within a
location to achieve huge quantities of optimistic change through the overview of workable
design and repetitions. Same as Hibox is the restaurant in Spain that provide different
activities that make a significant aspect into the future perspective. They try to solve the
issue of global warming across the global level. It makes a positive future impact on
improvising the sustainable practices of the restaurant those further provide a guide to visit
the places in London (Shen, Sotiriadis and Zhang, 2020).

From the above report, it has been analysed that the tourism and hospitality industry
is beneficial for the growth of an economy in a single destination. Destination management
is useful in providing different management practices that are helpful for the growth of
sustainable management across the world. It is determined that the tourism industry found
beneficial success in their work and achieve systematic growth. Furthermore, it is
determined that sustainable management policies and processes are beneficial and
interlinked to responsible management. These two concepts are linked and work with each
other to gain success in the destination. In last, it is analysed that most of the travel and
hospitality industry-related organisations provide a large number of attractions to their tourist
and make profitable approaches after the outbreak of Covid-19.

Introduction
This presentation include the brief description of Gijon, Spain for the growth of
population around different inhabitant with the medium size city that is situated in the north
coast line of Spain and it became the largest city in the different sectors. It will be helpful for
generating trade and make creative industries. The main aim of the presentation is to provide
a treatment of sustainable and responsible policies and practices at the destination. It will be
helpful for managing challenges of implanting the sustainable policies and strategies in
different manners. It will be helpful for most of the challenging and sustainable practices and
find out the possible theories and models.
Treatment of sustainable and responsible policies and practices
Gijon city has developed different council and different policies related to awareness
about heritage, environmental dimensions. which are used and intended to boost up the
morality and healthy habits for improve the quality of life. These policies affect the citizen
and tourist which is effective and helpful for the growth of the city. The city developed
integrated tools and public platform which is helpful for generalizing the statement and make
loyalty mechanism for the perspective growth.
This is very important to work as a sustainable tourism support and manage the
policies and their possible practices in different point of time. In order to convey the message
to work with responsible tourism they are providing some effective and destination places to
work with biosphere destination place as it will be helpful for attracting large number of
customers and provide systematic growth into the market. All of this contributes to Gijón
being a city with its own personality, a destination that combines history with irresistible
flavours and shared laughter, fun with culture, magic with a seafaring tradition, incredible
views with passionate debates, and gastronomic events with gatherings of international and
national importance.
Issues and challenges of implanting sustainable policies and strategies
 Spain has facing major issues related to effective growth and diversity in their
applicable situations.

 Another issue which is economic crises that will comes as the result of
unemployment and increased situations in the exclusive and social inequality and
make different situations.
 AT the same time Spain has facing many issues or challenges that are related to work
effectively and manage appropriate growth to undertake the number of risk and
poverty by 1.5% with respect to the comparison of 2008.
 The major challenge for the company is to make economic crises and creating for the
employment that would be hit by poverty and inequality among the country.
 This issue is basically related to providing systematic declining growth and inequality
to make pre-recession in the long manner, complex task, calling and other process to
work and organise the third sector growth in different challenges.
 To make equality and use of sustainable practices in different tourism and supportive
destinations are helpful for the country to make more effective approaches.
 This is very important for the growth and appropriate challenges to work and make
systematic growth in the destiny and make more attractive places over the period of
time.
The use of availability and sustainable management is basically helpful for promoting
lifelong learning opportunities in the time of effective growth and market place. Spain has
high poverty risk which become the biggest issue for containing different challenges. This
further make an impact on the sustainable practices and compass the individuals into one
group. These challenges make a high impact on the provisions and growth to work over the
period of time and make growth in developing and managing applicability. It will be further
helpful for inadequate social risks related to both formal and informal behaviour in the
society.
