INTRODUCTION
Sustainable tourism refers to the industry which is committed to build less impact on
local culture and environment of society at the same time generating more employment for
future of society or local people (Briassoulis and Van der Straaten eds., 2013). This ensures
that evolution is a positive experience for local individuals, companies of tourism as well as
tourists themselves. This sort of tourism undertakes the whole responsibility of recent as well
as future economic, environmental and social impact, addressing the industry need, host
community’s environment along with visitors. Tourism is one of the fastest growing
industries nowadays rendering business and help in communicating different cultures at
global level. Qatar is one of the richest countries in Middle East. The country has been
focusing over sustainable tourism development as they are the one who organise more sports
events in their country along with business meetings This report will evaluate the rationale for
designing appropriate travel and tourism industry along with different techniques and
approaches that can be used for its development and planning. It will also analyse the
requirements of sustainable tourism planning after evaluating various issues linked with it. In
order to manage this, social culture, environmental and economic influence of tourism will be
studied in report.
