• In today's changing world, tourism sector is one of the most
effective sector which is gaining high value within people and
marketplace.
• Due to trend within market, it is attaining growth and success at
rapid speed as there are people who are now choosing to travel
across globe for numerous purpose like holidays, business tours
and many more.

Concept of sustainability in development of
tourism sector
The term sustainable tourism development is also known as eco tourism that emphasis on
raising tourism rate without putting any negative impact within environment.
 In context of Qatar, there are several tourist destinations are being developed by the
government as there is improving cultural and heritage destinations
 This will be a wise use of the taxpayers’ money and the citizens will get a world class
recreational centre.
 Government of Qatar is also trying to implement the concept of eco-toursim which
promotes environment protection.

A wide range of factors which prevents sustainable tourism of
Qatar. As the hotels over the arena are not using environmental
protection, i.e. Recycle water, solar light and saving water. Thus
the sustainable development will not remain for long time.
The hindrance of local citizens of Qatar, i.e. their lack of
responsibility of waste disposal can harm the site and may not
sustain to operate for a long time.

which will be achieved. Travelling companies in Qatar should assess the possible results from
the area of concern in cultural heritage.
Stage 2: The main stakeholders of tourism industry in Qatar are – local people, organisations,
cultural heritage agencies etc.
Stage 3: Tour operates of Qatar identify the speciality of the place and then make marketing
campaigns accordingly. In order to get proper information, tourism agencies can also implement
several surveys for effective tourism planning.

Stage 4: The stage of resource analysis provides information about current position of resources,
i.e. airports, roads etc. it aids to calculate the amount of investment.
Stage 5: As seen earlier that sustainable tourism in Qatar has advantages and disadvantages,

make proper directions and rules for actions. It reduces the all issues and profits will be
enhanced.
