Task 1:
P1.1: Discuss how stakeholders can benefit from planning of tourism developments with
reference to Qatar.
Tourism is a multifaceted observable fact and also an influential monetary strength it has been
the subject matter of wide-ranging multidisciplinary explore (Adams et al., 2016.) The
stakeholder theory with reference to Qatar has also a multidisciplinary character, since it
manages along with environmental, cost-effective as well as psychosomatic issues
As opined by Metzler (2017) Planning is the progression of thoughts about the behavior requisite
to accomplish a preferred objective. It involves making and formulating of plans, such as an
emotional characteristic, which always requires some amount of theoretical proficiency. In
relation to Qatar, planning has a specific method and is also required for numerous occupations
(Boura et al., 2016). It also involves setting up of the objectives in advance. The planning starts
with the determination of an objective. After the objective is set, methods and procedures are
formulated for the accomplishment of the set objective. Without this the preferred objective will
not be reached. Planning is imperative as it provides a bearing to the efforts of the human
resources. It also reduces the risk of reservations and unanticipated situations every day. It also
lowers the threat of overlapping and uneconomical activities. And most importantly it helps in
the endorsement of pioneering thoughts.
In a business, stakeholders are people or groups of people who are directly or indirectly affected
by the operations of the business. According to Stephenson (2017), the international tourism
consultancy QATAR, in the tourism subdivision, the stakeholders comprise the subsequent
innermost and confined governments

The reimbursements that a stakeholder can have from the setting up of the tourism development
are:
Innermost and confined governments- whenever there is an expansion the administration
will have profit by earning more proceeds from the amplified taxes. Furthermore there
will be less uneconomical expenditure by the government. In addition, there will be a
development in the transportation of the country.
Local public- As opined by Weber (2014), the tourism industry in Qatar provides service
to practically 2.97 million people. The job creation has augmented to 170,000 from 2009
to 2014. Furthermore, tourists will expend in the local communities. This will add to the
revenue of the local societies. The transportation and the local marketplace will also be
developed. The transportation and roads will also be made better.
Tourists- the tourists will have a safer situation and will be able to take pleasure of the
benefits of a protected environment for longer and also enjoy the facilities for a longer
phase as well.
Monetary organizations- they get to loan out money to the governments and other
agencies in developing and promote sustainable development of tourism in their
respective countries.

P1.2 Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of public/private sector tourism planning
partnerships drawing examples Qatar.
The advantages of public and private sector tourism planning in relation to Qatar are as follows;
As stated by Biygautane (2016), It provides monetary diversification, enhanced bodily
equilibrium and condensed unpredictability
It provides intangible benefits generated from tourism which can significantly contribute
to promoting Qatari culture
It provides with multiple natural assets which the visitors can enjoy all the year around
for example the dessert scenery and mangrove lagoons
Qatar is continually investing to enhance its infrastructure so the travelers can avail of a
range of high quality hotels and exhibition facilities etc
The disadvantages of public and private sector tourism in relation to Qatar are as stated below;
There may be a disagreement of concentration.
The management might emphasize their power to compel their belief on the confidential
companies.
There might be complexity between the associates which will make their bond turn
unpleasant (Ustaoğlu et al., 2016) The private company can then get blacklisted by the
government.
In a huge effort to preserve a certain construction in the company, the real work might
get vulnerable which will eventually show the way to a rise in inadequacy.
