INTRODUCTION
The travel destinations around the world which shows the culture and heritage of a
particular place of a country is known as tourism environment. It also includes the flora and
fauna of that specific place, for example- various species of plants and animals which constitutes
major attractions of that place. The tourism industry contributes in the economy of a country to a
great extent. It helps in collection of revenues thorough the travelling business in which people
from different countries visit the number of famous destinations such as, Dubai, London, New
York, Las Vegas, Paris, Italy, Switzerland, Greece and many more. This also provides both
pleasure and leisure to the travellers far from home(Yang and Weng, 2019). The following essay
will talk about the concept of sustainable tourism along with its principles that re required for the
development and growth of the tourism sector. Further, the essay will also discuss about the
macro factors that are responsible for the growth of the tourism industry sustainably. It is
important to concentrate on the development of the various tourists spots or the destinations. It
also covers the impact of the components of the micro environment and the tourists on the
particular sector which is directly associated with the demand of the different goods and services.

The term sustainable tourism means the overall experience of tourism sector which
involves economic, social and environmental aspects that influence the stability of tourism
industry. The social, economic and environmental issues that affects tourism are defined by UN
Environment Program and UN World Tourism Organization(Khan, et.al,2020). It covers both
future and present conditions of the above mentioned factors. It also focuses on the requirements
of the travellers, host countries, tourism industry and the environment. There are some principles
in order to achieve the aim of sustainable tourism and that are required to be followed
accordingly by the host country in order to develop tourism industry(Konovalova, et.al, 2018). The
postulates or the fundamental approaches are the musts in terms of maintaining the vitality for
the development of sustainable tourism. The basic approach which this concept is trying to give
is to utilize the resources according to the need of the hour which means, that on the basis of
