SYSTEM ORGANS2 System Organs Integumentary organ system: It includes nails, hair and skin and functions as a barrier between the interior parts of the body and the external environment. It also maintains the body’s temperature, protects the interior of the body from damage, keeps the fluids inside the body and prevents infiltration by microorganism(Bailey, 2019; Mayer, 2018). The muscular system enables movement of the body, heat generation and provides support. It includes skeletal, cardiac and smooth muscles(Bailey, 2019; Mayer, 2018). The skeletal systemincludes tendons, ligaments, cartilages and bones. It functions to support the body, make blood cells, protect soft tissues from damage and enable body movement (Mayer, 2018). The cardiovascular system comprises of the heart, blood and network of vessels. The system moves waste products and nutrients through all parts of the body and is responsible for maintaining pH and body temperature(Mayer, 2018). The nervous systemcomprises of the spinal cord, sensory organs, brain and nerves. Its fictions include gathering and utilizing information. It also controls the short-terms modifications in other organs(Mayer, 2018). The respiratory system includes throat, nose, mouth, lungs, diaphragm and bronchi. The system’s function is to facilitate the exchange of gases and management breathing by transporting air(Mayer, 2018). The digestive systemcomprises o the stomach, mouth, salivary glands, pancreas, liver, intestines, gall bladder, and esophagus. Its functions include food processing and absorption of water and nutrients(Bailey, 2019; Mayer, 2018).
SYSTEM ORGANS3 The reproductive systemincludes vas deferens, vagina, uterus, fallopian tubes, ovaries, testes, seminal vesicles, prostate and penis. The functions of the system include generating sex hormones and gametes to support the production of offspring(Mayer, 2018). The urinary systemcomprises of the ureter, kidneys, bladder and urethra. Its function is to remove excess water and waste from the body(Bailey, 2019; Mayer, 2018). The endocrine system comprise of the thyroid, testes, ovaries, pineal, adrenals and pituitary. It includes glands that send hormonal messages to various body arts and control changes in body systems(Mayer, 2018). The immune system comprises of tonsils, thymus, spleen adenoids and leukocytes. It defends the boy against diseases and pathogens(Mayer, 2018). The lymphatic systemincludes lymph vessels, lymph nodes and lymph. The system is responsible for defending the body against diseases and infections, and the movement f lymph between the tissues and the blood(Mayer, 2018). References Bailey, R.
