Role of talent management in reducing the negative impacts of covid-19 within hospitality industry.
A research project on GLH hotels.
1. INTRODUCTION.
Research Background: (Introduction to the research area with some background information).
Include the following:
It has been seen and find out that many negative impacts and challenges are being created and lead
out by the Covid-19 within the hospitality sector by the way of causing sudden lockdown as well as
implication of the social distancing norms. Along with this, it has been also seen that a higher level of
fear and anxiety in employees is also being caused by the covid-19 that has raised the issue of high
employee’s turnover along with lack of effective employee engagement and motivation (Pagan-
Castaño and et. al., 2022). Beside this, the concept of the talent management is tending to be related
with the systematic way of recruiting talented candidates along with supporting and ensuring their
regular development and effective management. Along with this, the organisation selected for
undertaking and leading out current study is GHL hotel which is tend to be a British-based global hotel
company the headquartered of which is located in the London, and it tend to be a subsidiary of GL
Limited. Further, GLH is the largest owner-operator hotel management company in London that is
having more than 5,000 hotel rooms.
Aims & Objectives

To determine about the importance of concept of talent management along with evaluating its role in
reducing the negative impacts of covid-19 within hospitality industry. A research project on GLH
hotels.

I. To determine about the importance as well as the enhancing need of talent management in
hospitality industry
II. To review about the key challenges and negative impacts created by covid-19.
III. To analysis the role of talent management in reducing the negative impacts of covid-19
within hospitality industry.
IV. To support recommendation which ensures better mitigation of covid-19 challenges within
the GLH hotel to ensure higher productivity level.

i. What are the key factors that are supporting the importance as well as the enhancing need of
talent management in hospitality industry?
ii. Which are the main challenges and negative impacts created by covid-19?
iii. How tend to be a vital role is being played by talent management in reducing the negative
impacts of covid-19 within hospitality industry?
iv. Which are the effective recommendation that ensures better mitigation of covid-19
challenges within the GLH hotel to ensure higher productivity level?
Research Hypotheses: These may be only required if you are conducting a quantitative research study

H1 (Alternative hypothesis):
To support recommendation which ensures better mitigation of covid-19 challenges within the GLH

The selection of the current topic is seemed to be rationale and appropriate as in current business
scenario many key challenges and issues are being created by the covid-19 that has led to the risk of
high employee turnover and reduction in motivation. Therefore, at that time analysing and implicating
