This article discusses the importance of talent management process within an organisation to improve the whole business performance. It also covers designing an appropriate project management plan including a work breakdown structure along with the Gantt chart. The strengths and weaknesses of project planning tools are also discussed. The article concludes with applying the risk management process on the proposed project.

Topic: A project proposal on Talent Management in an organization
Talent management refers to the company's commitment to hire, retain, recruit, develop
and select the most superior and talented employees available in the market. So, talent
management is one of the useful terms which describes a company's commitment to recruit,
select, retain and develop talented employees. It includes all of the work procedures and systems
which are directly related to retain and develop a superior workforce. It is known as a business
strategy that a company enables them to retain their topmost skilled and talented employees. In
simpler words, talent management is about a set of human resource procedures that link with
each other (Mensah and Bawole, 2018). It touches every key area of HR, from recruiting to
employee on-boarding and from management of performance to retention. The main motive of
talent management is increasing performance of the employees as well as organisation. It targets
at motivating, engaging and retaining talented workforce to make them perform in a better way.
When talent management procedure is done right then companies could easily build a sustainable
competitive advantage (Cross Walker, 2020). Employees are the asset of a company and they are
the people who have the responsibility to perform the assigned duties in a significant way. Here,
talent management plays quite important role as this motivates and engages employees to work
in a certain manner so that goals of the organisation could be attained.
AIM AND OBJECTIVES FOR THE SELECTED PROJECT
Research Aim:
To identify the importance of talent management process within an organisation to
improve the whole business performance
Research Objectives:
 To identify the talent strategy and talent management for the competitive success of the
business.
 To improve the talent management programs for the success of the business.
 To acknowledge the usefulness of the management in the time of expanding the talent
plan.

DESIGNING AN APPROPRIATE PROJECT MANAGEMENT PLAN
INCLUDING A WORK BREAKDOWN STRUCTURE ALONG WITH
THE GANTT CHART
A project management plan refers to the formal document which clearly defines the tasks
and activities that need to be carried out in a significant way. The plan covers budget, scope,
timeline, goals in order to keep the whole project in track. This management plan assists in
dividing activities in such a manner so that investigation could be completed in a significant
manner. There are two significant tools of project management plan which include Gantt chart
and Work breakdown structure.
Work breakdown structure (WBS): WBS is a tool that outlines several tasks needed for
completing the project on time (Padmakusumah and et. al., 2022). It is also used in the present
project for breaking down the activities into tiny tasks so that every operation could be done in a
significant way. The main motive of using work breakdown structure is scheduling project as per
the pre-determined plan. Some of the significant components of WBS are:
Tasks: In this several elements are included which are ID, title, number and description
related to the activities.
Task owner: In this name of the activities representative is written and shown. It is
considered for showing the individuals who are responsible for completing the assigned tasks
and activities.
Task predecessors: This is the third element that assists in making connection between
two tasks with the motive of showing the dependency with each other.
Start and finish date: It is the element which includes start and end date of every activity
so that project could be completed in a decided period of time.
In the existing project, WBS is an important tool because it assists in helping the project
manager to divide the activities in a significant and efficient way. The activities and tasks are
shown through graphical representation.

Gantt Chart: It is one of the greatest project management tools that help in dividing
activities with appropriate time duration. It highlights tasks and activities and displays relevant
time (Han, 2021). It represents in the bar chart which includes activities and time interval. In the
left side of the chart activities are included and in the other side proper duration is given to
complete activities. In simpler words, it includes two significant sections where left side
highlights tasks and activities and in the right side it shows time. Building and managing comprehensive project: It classifies the activities and tasks on
smaller parts and then organise and manage it in such a manner so that tasks could be
managed in a proper manner. Determining logistics and tasks dependences: Gantt chart is considered in the present
investigation as it accommodates in keeping an eye on the logistics considered in a
project and also highlights dependences (Susilowati and et. al., 2021). Dependences
assist researcher to ensure which activities and tasks require to be done and the
initiation date.
 Monitoring progress of the project: In the existing investigation, it is considered to
critically evaluate the research so that actual status could be made. If any deviation is
seen then essential adjustments can be made at right time so that right project could be
taken out.
Hence, the current project uses this tool for monitoring and managing activities in a significant
way. Therefore, this chart divides the activities with proper time period.

STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES OF PROJECT PLANNING TOOLS
Strengths of Work breakdown structure
There are several strengths of considering work breakdown structure in the present
research which are:
 One of the primary benefits of WBS is that it helps in organising every operation and
work efficiently and effectively (Trashlieva and Radeva, 2018). With the assistance of
this structure every task is clearly defined and activity is divided into smaller parts so that
work could be organised effectively and efficiently.
 WBS also facilitates in determining the risks related with proposed activities and tasks so
that proper action could be taken and risk could be mitigated systematically.
 The other main strength is that it gives visual representation of the whole scope which
facilitates in understanding the project in effective and efficient way.

Weaknesses of Work breakdown structure
Some of the weaknesses of considering work breakdown structure are:
 One of the primary disadvantages of WBS is that increases the workload among the
managers and management because they spend a lot of time to plan, organise and monitor
the activities so that project could be done in a systematic way (Cicala, 2020).
 The other main disadvantage is that it needs expertise and professionals for dividing the
projects in sub-parts which are linked with each other. Active managers required to be
there because without active participation of participants it can not be done effectively
and efficiently.
Strengths of Gantt chart
 Gantt chart has great benefits because it gives great level of overview of the whole
project. It involves time and activity so that proper arrangement could be made. It
includes lower number of respondents to develop Gantt chart for maintaining accuracy.
 The other main strength of the Gantt chart is that it improves the overall efficiency of the
whole project and also facilitates in organising limited resources effectively and
efficiently. It shows realistic schedule which is set by managers to reduce the wastage of
resources and using it in a best possible way (Lee, 2021).
 The other greatest benefit is that with the help of Gantt chart, project activities could be
tracked in a systematic way. It accommodates in looking at the risk associated with the
project in a timely manner (Bering and et. al., 2022). It also facilitates in boosting the
productivity of the whole project.
Weaknesses of Gantt chart
 One of the disadvantages is that it is quite tedious process. Managers require more time
and efforts to prepare Gantt chart as per the proposed project (Pradillo, Jones and
Seweryn, 2020).
 The other major disadvantage is that it is a time consuming procedure because systematic
and proper planning need to be completed. Proper time duration is not scheduled so that
chart could be made in decided time period.
 The other main disadvantage is that it is not an easy task for aligning activities. It needs
expertise for accumulating important information so that proper chart could be made.

APPLYING THE RISK MANAGEMENT PROCESS ON PROPOSED
PROJECT
Risk management procedure assists in determining the risk which is related to the tasks
and activities taken out in a project (Yowiantoro, 2018). The risk level is decided by the way
project is taken out so that resources could be allocated effectively and efficiently. In the above
mentioned project risk is evaluated in a significant way.
Lack of resources: It is quite low risk because researcher focuses on allocating and
utilising resources and gives priority in earlier stages only.
Time: This is the risk which is quite high because there are certain circumstances that can
happen and become barrier in completing data.
Lack of knowledge: The other risk is lack of knowledge which is of medium risk as
while conducting investigation.

CONCLUSION
From the above assembled data it is summarised that there are two significant project
management tools in the existing investigation. Gantt chart and WBS are two tools that help in
completing the whole project in decided time duration.
