Title of the project:To determine importance of talent management in the Cairn hotel forrising workforce performance & productivity. Chapter 1: IntroductionIntroduction to the research: Talent management is defined as the commitment of organisation for recruiting, hiring,recreating and developing the best talented employees of the company. Talent managementconsists of all work processes and systems which are associated with retaining and developing asuperior workforce. This is defined as a business strategy which helps companies in retainingtheir employees who are skilled and talented. This helps in attracting a lot of potential employeestowards the company (Ashton and Morton, 2005). If a company will be able to attract and retaintalented employees, then productivity and performance of employees can be easily enhanced. Incontext of Cairn Hotel which is situated in London, it is important for this organisation to attractand retain talented and skilled staff so that they can be able to make more profits. The followingresearch is based on the need of talent management in this hotel so that productivity andperformance of employees can be increased. Background of the project: Talent management is an essential part of the company as this will help in retaining anumber of talented and skilled employees within the company. In context of Cairn Hotel it isrequired for the management of this company to have an effective and smooth functioning of theoperations and business activities. This research is conducted so that this hotel will be able toestimate and understand about the importance of talent management and it's benefits. Statement of the research:The statement of this research is that talent management affects the productivity andefficiency of employees. This can be proved by the following research as if there are moretalented and skilled employees in the company then they can achieve the goals and objectives ofthe company in less time.

Research Aim:The aim of this research is “To determine the importance of talent management in CairnHotel for rising workforce productivity and performance”. Objectives of the research: The objective of the research is given below- To determine the concept of talent management To understand the requirement of talent management in Cairn HotelTo analyse the different ways used by human resource management for talentmanagement Research Questions:What do you mean by the concept of talent management?What is the requirement of talent management in Cairn Hotel?What are the different ways used by human resource management for talentmanagement? Purpose and scope of the research: The purpose of this research is to analyse the importance of talent management within anorganisation. It is essential for every organisation to provide benefits to employees andunderstand their needs and demands so that these requirement are fulfilled in the organisation. Ifmanagement will know the demands and needs of employees then organisation will be able tofulfil their needs (Cappelli, 2009). This will motivate them and help them work in theorganisation with enthusiasm and confidence. Rationale for the research topic: Cairn hotel is an organisation that is situated in London and this hotel is not able to retainit's customers. The main problem which was faced by customers was that staff members werenot skilled and they were unable to provide quality services. This research will help to analysethe need of talent management in this company and management of this hotel will know how toretain skilled and knowledgable workers of the company.

Gantt chart and Work breakdown structure:Gantt chart- Gantt chart is a kind of bar chart formulated for graphic data , planning andcontrolling of the work and also identifying the progress of the project . It is kind of chart whichelaborators about the work schedule , timing and also provide the information about the projectstatus. The Gantt chart was the introduce by Henry Gantt.
