Introduction:
The ability to read, write and also communicate with varying context is generally termed
as the literacy. It embraces the endless ongoing opportunities by the teachers for the students for
learning, writing and speaking. Literacy teaching comprises of number of teaching approaches
furthermore focusing on the sub skills like comprehension, vocabulary and phonological
awareness (Kirkwood and Price 2014). The assignment highlights the concepts of literacy and
teaching approaches together with the introduction and the impact of the technology on success,
motivation and learner’s engagement.
Literacy and teaching approaches:
Literacy is one of the essential learning requirements of the young and the adults and
contributes to the heart of primary and basic education. This particular concept is developed in
and out of the school with the help of formal and non formal education and the system of
information learning. This life long procedure is extremely important for the development of
social and human factors together with the basic norms for citizenship. The Universal
Declaration of Human Rights recognizes the right of each and every individual to basic level of
education and literacy which is strongly rooted and inscribed in the right towards literacy
(Temple et al. 2018). Teaching approaches of literacy is a set of beliefs, principles and ideas
related to the behavior of learning that is generally translated in the classroom (Barak, Watted
and Haick 2016). Some of the basic teaching approaches of literacy includes teacher centered,
banking, individualistic, direct, indirect, learner centered, interactive, integrated, collaborative
and subject matter center approach.

Literacy resources, including technologies:
A wide variety of literacy resources are used while teaching the concept of literacy either
in classroom teaching or online teaching. Evaluation of technology and online resources are one
of the essential factors for the instructions of literacy. In the current century, classrooms with
digital tools should also exist along the traditional tools. Resources of literacy play a very
important role in the implementation of effective approaches and strategies of teaching to the
students to guide them to correct future directions (French 2016). Technological advancements,
online tools as compared to the traditional counterparts tend to provide a broad array of
information regarding words and the word meanings. The technological tools initiate the
allowance to customize easily so that students review, play and practices unit specific words. The
upgraded technological tool helps the learners to view images and pictures by the help of
interactive display and gaming system. Furthermore playing with manipulated languages and
collaboration with classmates for the creation of virtual word walls are some of the upgraded
digital tools of literacy resources that are essential for the learners.
The impact of using technology
Technology can be used in acquisition of languages and enhance proper access of
efficacy through digital multimedia. Various multimedia presentations like images, sound, texts
helps the learners to access authentic materials like context rich linguistic and relevant materials
to cultural learners.

a: learner engagement- Technology is one of the key ways to increase the number of students
engaged in the classrooms of interactive learning. Language acquisition of the learners happens
by various ways like enhancement of the authenticity of the use of internet and the video.
Furthermore the technological advancement and the improved digital tools help in the
encouragement of the participation of the students and the learners for initiate active
participation in the classroom (Navimipour and Zareie 2015). With the increased technological
advancements and involvements in the learning classrooms the learners are getting a chance to
get deeply involved in to the topic than before presenting up new and innovative ideas of
learning and their interest in participation.
b: motivation- Motivation is an internal condition which helps an individual to initiate
behavior. Motivation initiates the want or the urge to achieve the goal. In case of the reluctant
learners, one and only common or the basic thread is the perception of themselves which is
generally termed as the self efficacy (Ibáñez et al. 2014). The rate or the level of self efficacy of
the learners of the classroom determines the level of performance and their decisions. The digital
tools and technological advancement thus acts as one of the key motivational factors for the
learners towards their achievement to success.
c: success- The successful implementation of the technological tool and advancement plays a
very crucial role in changing and the school environment and have a positive impact n the
students achievements. The technology in the classroom tends to make a major difference in the
lives and the upcoming future of the learners. This is because the learners and the children
constitute the upcoming future and what they are being taught today will reflect how the world
will run tomorrow.

learning more efficient and will help in enhancing the learning ability of the students in the
classroom.
