INTRODUCTION
Teaching is acknowledged as the effective profession which is being valued in the
society by everyone. English is becoming one of the most common language which is being
expected to be learned by each individual who is expecting to attain success in the future. In this,
ESL teacher plays essential role in the leaning pattern of the individual who are willing to learn
English for their future. TESOL is the International Association of teachers of English for the
speakers of other different languages. This is mainly acknowledged as largest professional entity
for the teachers of English as a second or foreign language. The respective association basically
covers both the TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) and TESL (Teaching English
as a Second Language). The present report includes detailed information on the influence of the
TESOL, TEFL and TESL on the daily teaching practices of the Malaysian English teacher. This
report will include detailed information on the own teaching experience of the ESL teacher
teaching in Malaysia. Along with this, it will further include detailed knowledge on the TESOL,
TEFL and TESL with the inclusion of several perception and views taken from different
literatures.
MAIN BODY
Your own teaching experience
On the basis of my own experience associated with the TESOTEFL certification L
certification, it can be said that the respective term is highly broad for me as it open up range of
options for me in the academic life as well as the other areas such as corporate house. I have also
determined that by having TESOL certification I can also apply as accent instructor in corporate
house. While emphasizing on my personal experience associated with the teaching, it can be
said that after I have attained certification of TESOL I became eligible to work in the Malaysian
school as the English instructor. While being practising as the English teacher in Malaysian
school I got opportunity learn lots of things while teaching students. It can be said that as being
the teacher, it was essential for me to develop positive relations with the students so that they
can get frank with me and take self initiative to learn this language. Apart from this, I have
observed that demand for the TESOL certified teachers are high in the Malaysia as they are
recognised as most skilled person who can make children learn the same inappropriate manner.
While looking after the impact of TESOL certification over the daily based teaching life of the

normal or average Malaysian teachers it can be said that these people now faces major issues as
well as insecurities in terms of jobs because with the increasing demand of TESOL certified
people, it can be said that schools are not giving preferences to the average teachers because
they believes that if they will hire a normal teacher then they wont be able to help their children
in their learning experiences. Away with this, I have also realised that this have brought
depression among the normal teachers as they believes that they are no use now. Whereas, I
have also determined some sort of positive impact of these over the average teachers too as they
have also applied for acquiring TESOL qualification so that they can also get a good job with
the highly paid salary as compared to the normal teachers. In addition to this, I have also realised
that there were many friends of mine who have been teaching in the normal school since the
start of the teaching career have also applied for the TESOL.
Away with this, while remembering my own experience with the children, it can be said
that all of my students to whom I was teaching English were highly enthusiastic and were
willing to learn this language. Here, it can be said that even though the students were highly
dedicated towards their learning but still they were facing lots of issues due to the less command
over this language. This is so because, these students have never used the English language in
the past life. This have directly made their influence towards the learning of this language
ineffective. In order to teach these students effectively I have made use several techniques and
the methods that have been taught to me in the TESOL learning experience. This have directly
smoothen the learning practice of the individuals and also help them out in the learning English
language effectively. As a result, it became easier for my students to the learn the things in the
same manner with which they can easily enhance their command over the same language in
appropriate manner. Whereas if it is talked about the students who have little bit understanding
abut this language but still they were not having expertise in this because they have never
practised the language in their past. It can be said that even though the students were having
some knowledge about the same but still they have to enhance their basic knowledge about the
same then they are required to place additional efforts over the same. For this, I have arranged
few learning session for these children with which they can find out their weak areas and place
additional efforts towards the same in rightful manner.
From the overall experience of mine related to the same, it can be said that I have learned
lot of things with this experience that is with my teaching profession. Also, by having TESOL

certification I have developed my knowledge on the different skills such as communication,
team working, presentation, problem solving. Also, I have realised that by having this
certification I can also apply on different areas such as corporate field as in this zone I can attain
higher monetary benefits. Moreover, my teaching experience and TESOL certification will also
allow me to work in my favourite place or location where the demand for the English is high and
I can also get better pay towards the same in an appropriate manner. Along with this, by
teaching students to learn English effectively I can also develop learning opportunities for the
students in an appropriate manner.

and foremost benefit that can be attained with TEFL certification is that after completion of the
respective course individual would receive global teacher training certification. On the other
hand, the information expressed by all the teachers clearly states that Teaching English to
Speakers of other languages.

one as a English teacher who will enhance their learning experience on the English and also
contributes in making them learn new language effectively.

skills to the individual to teach English in foreign countries where whose localise people
especially students does not uses English like their preliminary or first language. Some of the

qualification is taken as one of the most important degree that provides range of benefits to the

respective degree also allows individual to attain freedom of working in any country across the
