MAIN BODY With the analysis of the reading it is clear that there are many different characteristics which makes the company differentiated from team- based organisation. The major characteristic is the shared leadership and responsibility. This is the most important characteristic which makes the team- based company different from the other companies. This is because of the reason that when there is shared leadership and responsibility then this provides much better output and attainment of company objectives (Reimer, Taggart and Chapman, 2019). Along with this another characteristic involves the team accountability. This is because all the members of team will be accountable for every working of the business. in addition to this, another characteristic is the flexible and empowered workforce and working environment. The reason pertaining to the fact is that when there will be flexible working in team then working will be done in much better way resulting in better working environment. The use of democratic and transformational style of management and leadership is best for managing a team- based company. The reason for using these two style is that it involves taking into consideration the views of other team members as well. Hence, this will involve the other team members and employees as well and this will motivate them to work in better manner (Van Wart and Denhardt, 2019). Along with this, the use of transformational leadership will assist the company in implementing the changes in better and effective manner. Hence, the use of these leadership and management style will provide best work within the team and company will be in position to attain its objectives and performance measure. Further with the help of the reading it is clear that team- based setting affect managerial power and leadership within the company. this is pertaining to the fact that when the team working will not be good then this will be affecting the managerial power and leadership. in case, the leader keeps the power in hands of them only then this can demotivate other team members (Larson and DeChurch, 2020). For instance, the use of visual cues is assistive in order to manage communication between remote teams. In case the leadership will be tough then this might affect the working condition of team- based company. the reason pertaining to the fact is that the employees might feel that leader is imposing things on them and they do not work in better manner. Further the leader and management plays a crucial role at time of distributing the power within the team. The reason underlying this fact is that when the power will not be distributed in
proper manner then this can affect the working efficiency of overall team and company (Kozlowski and Chao, 2018). hence, it is the responsibility of leader or the management to divide the power in such a manner that it is distributed in equitable manner. In case the power will be concentrated in hands of few people then this will be affecting the working efficiency of whole team. Hence, for this the leader analyse each and every team member and then provide them with the appropriate and relevant power.
