INTRODUCTION
Partnership plays an important role in the health and social care. The concept of
partnership leads to providing effective services to the service user. This report will evaluate the
characteristic of the effective management in terms of working in partnership under the health
and social care. This could also, examine about report for comparing the various characteristics
and roles of the manager and leader. Along with this the report will also discuss on the leadership
and management. This could also compare the role of leader and the function of manager using
the various theories and concepts within the contexts. Moreover, discuss the role of partnership
working across health, care and support services. This could analyse the various value of
partnership working for achieving the high quality of services with legislative boundaries.

P1 Evaluation of various roles and characteristics of a leader and a manager
Management is the process of decision, making, organizing and planning, motivation and
controlling the human resources, information resources, physical of organization to reach out the
goals and objective effectively and efficiently. The leaders and managers both of them works
towards the common goal and that is to provide the effective services to the clients by increasing
the effectiveness in working of the service provider. There are certain roles that have been
performed by both of them. And these roles determine the responsibilities of leaders and
managers towards their followers. The effective leadership provides the clear vision in terms of
performing the effective management in the health and social care. The major responsibility of
the leader is to guide their followers. And on the other hand, the major responsibility of the
manager is to manage the working scenario in the health and social care. The partnership
between both of them is needed as both the elements ensure the effectiveness in the services of
the health and social care.
Leadership is the ability of an individual or group that lead for influencing and guide
followers to team member or other member in organization. Transactional leadership in health
and social care that is also known as managerial leadership, this keep for working where the
executive relies towards the punishment or rewards to achieve the optimal job performance.
Transformational leadership, in health and social care which play the effective role and help for
