INTRODUCTION
Team work is considered as the working which is performed when people work together
and collectively attain some collaborate business goal. Teamwork offers the organisation that to
to show working abilities in such manner that together business objectives can be managed and
at the same time strengths within business can be created. Teamwork builds the good
relationship within employees in which positive atmosphere can be created within workplace. In
an organisation whole the employees are divided into smaller teams and these teams are given
specific tasks for its completion. Team make their own decisions those are beneficial for whole
the organisation. Using team work problem solving skills can be exerted in the organisation and
these would be helpful in acquiring needed market image (Amankwah-Nikoi, 2019). The current
research report is prepared in order to increasing understanding in relation to team work and its
impact over organisational performance of retail industry. The report is also going to explain
regarding different strategies that could be adopted by the businesses in order to eliminate
challenges occurred due to ineffective team work. Within an organisation teamwork plays
important role as this enable the employees to use their skill at proper place so that in overall
manner productivity can be boosted. The organisation taken for the current research is
Morrison’s which is one of the leading super market store chain situated in UK. The vision of
Morrison’s is to serve prominent quality of food items to their customers so that they can be
retained for longer time period. The key value for Morrison’s is to prioritise their customers and
manage teamwork in the organisation so that needs and demands of their customers can be
understood and the same can be catered. The company is famous in the marketplace as
Morrison’s is highly focused on food retailing and this is the reason that Morrison’s is
considered as supermarket food specialist. The company is much focused over developing team
work and promoting collaborative working.

According to Farooqi, Ashraf and Nazeer, (2020), team work is considered as the
collaborative working abilities which are being performed in the organisation so that to attain a
particular objective. Within an organisation all the working employees are putting their own
efforts in different direction but their sole purpose of doing these efforts are the same. Team
work allows the organisation to manage problem solving aspects in easy manner so that better
outcomes can be taken out. Team work is one of the major business strategy which is related
with managing employee strength in such manner that their efforts can be used in attaining
business objectives. With the help of team work overall business efficiency can be increased so
that better quality can be attained in business offerings. Team work is essential as this enable the
employees to share their ideas and responsibilities in meticulous manner.
Impact of team work on organisational performance of Morrison
According to Popović and Janković, (2021), team work is considered as one of the
essential element in which overall working is being performed and at the same time business

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
Research methodology is considered as the methods which are adopted by the researcher
in order to manage the whole research and to acquire research results. Research philosophy is
considered as the system of belief which is used within research so that to develop knowledge on
the research topic and to embark the research. Using research philosophy belief are drawn that
how the data will be gathered and analysed within research (Gupta and Gupta, 2022). There are
three major research philosophies those are considered by the researcher at the time of
developing the research such as epistemology, axiology and ontology. Epistemology research
philosophy is associated with analysing such sources which are related with gaining of
knowledge and limitations within the research. On the other hand, ontology research philosophy
is associated with reflecting interpretation of the research. Ontology is also related with simple
terms which are being used within the research and the same manner research objectives can be
attained. By analysing requirements of the current research the researcher has chosen
epistemology research philosophy so that to manage overall research methods. Using
epistemology research philosophy the researcher will be able to acquire positive methods within
research so that accurate results can be taken out (Nayak and Singh, 2021). Epistemology is
further divided into two types such as positivism and interpretivism. By considering
requirements of the current research the researcher will use positivism research philosophy so
that to acquire overall results within research.
RESEARCH METHODS
Research approach: Research approach is that plan and procedure which is used within the
research so that to manage step by step processes of the research. Research approach is
considered as that assumptions which are helpful in gathering overall conclusions within
research. Research approach would be helpful in acquiring systems within research and this will
lead the researcher to reach out to final conclusions (Kapur, 2018). Research approach is
categorised into two types such as inductive and deductive. By analysing requirement of the

current research, the researcher will choose deductive research approach. The major reason of
selecting deductive approach is that the researcher is willing to conduct the research with
quantitative research methods and using deductive approach researcher will be able to reach
research objectives.
Research choice: Research choice is that specific research methodology which is related with
making choice between research methods. Research choice is classified into two types such as
quantitative and qualitative (Davidavičienė, 2018). In the current research the researcher will use
quantitative research choice so that to manage overall research. The major reason of selecting
quantitative research is that this will acquire statistical research results.
Data collection: Data collection are the methods which are used within the research for the
major purpose of collecting data on the research topic. Data collection is one of the main
research methodology which is helpful for the researcher to reach out to overall research
conclusions. Using appropriate data collection methods valid arguments can be acquired by the
researcher so that successful attainment of research objectives can be made (Hoon and Singh,
2019). There are two types of data collection such as primary and secondary. In the context of
current research the researcher will use both the primary and secondary methods of data
collection so that to add inclusive view within research.
Data analysis: Data analysis is considered as the methods which are being followed in order to
take out significant conclusion out of collected information (Cuervo‐Cazurra and et. al., 2017).
There are two major types of data analysis which can be used such as frequency distribution
table and thematic analysis. By understanding needs of the current research the researcher will
use frequency distribution table so that in statistical manner results can be demonstrated.

In the current research different ethical considerations are being taken which are helping
the researcher to manage overall efforts within research and to include ethics within research.
This is stated that using these research ethics negative element within research can be eliminated
and at the same time using ethical considerations research results can be obtained truthfully.
Ethical consideration plays major role in the research which means that these helps the
researcher in promoting research aim and objectives in direct and indirect manner. Using ethical
aspects in the research chances of errors can be minimised so that researcher will be able to
obtain transparent results. The current research included different ethical considerations such as

informed consent, confidentiality, anonymity, voluntary participation and many others. Using
these ethical considerations the researcher will be able to acquire transparency within research
and at the same time accurate results can be taken out. The researcher will use informed consent
as ethical consideration so that the respondents may take out their participation at their own will.
On the other hand, with the help of keeping anonymity the researcher will be able to develop
transparency within the research so that participants will not be hesitate in order to give their
opinion within research.
