Teamwork Reflection1 Teamwork Reflection In this reflective paper, I will reflect my experience while I was working with the team of GeoView innovation. Besides, we as a group faced many ethical as well as social problems while executing of our entrepreneurial idea, this paper will contain the idea’s social and ethical dimensions seen by me and my team. Even in the smallest task of any area, there is a team that works for the successful execution either in front or in background(Belbin, 2012), though it was a huge task for our team to execute GeoView business plan. Our business would have been nothing without the team of mine who worked sometimes front or behind the scenes. While we all team members being entrepreneurs were having the big dream of GeoView, ultimately the team made it possible to live our dreams. I realised that hiring of right team and their co-ordination is the foremost important for entrepreneurial ideaor any business. Moreover, our team played a key role in understanding as well as executing our Business plan’s vision(Singla, 2016). We as a team decided to create GeoView because of its nature of innovation which is a revolution in the technological growth and development of the contemporary world. In my views about our team’s innovative product, the GeoView product will improve the efficiency of mining and exploration industrial operations. Our product GeoView’s main market audience is mining firms that conduct geological mapping, mineral mapping, and geological data collection. Our team work and effective communication skills will prove that GeoView is a revolutionising tool of the geological mapping world and it will uplift the 21st Century standard in the mining as well as exploration sector. While we were creating the business plan of GeoView, I realised that effective communication skills is the key to success for an effective teamwork. It has proved with the completion of our successful business plan that we all team members had strong as well as effective communication skill set that helped us in communicating with each other and with the business world(Sundstrom, De Meuse, & Futrell, 2010). Our team conducted business within the boundaries of applicable laws as well as rules and regulations of ethical business practices. During our one of the business dealing of our plan, I faced a business ethical dilemma that one of my friend was there doing the business deal and he was asking me somepersonal favour regarding the professional dealing. At that time, being an honest and fair person to my team and business, I gave preference to my professional relationships rather than personal relations in order to adopt an ethical
Teamwork Reflection2 business practice. My work experience with my team was exceeded my expectations that I was having prior planning of business with them. We all team members maintained all the info and data of our business plan through keeping records and recognizing errors on time. When errors used to occur and confirmed then each and every team member used to correct them promptly. Moreover, we introduced a protection cell comprising of information security team within our business plan so that we can protect the privacy as well as confidentiality of customers, shareholders and third-party records and information(Dublin City university, 2018). I felt that like every other team or group we all had conflicts between individual’s interests, still the challenge was to overcome that issue and prove that we are a team and we can do anything together. I personally took some ethical business decisions which were aligned with the risk appetite but they were not related to my personal gain hence my team supported me on account for my good judgement skills and attempt devoted to avoid the team conflicts(Comerica Bank, 2018). I also realised that in order to avoid even the appearance of team interests’ conflicts we should not ever pursue the business opportunities personally. Additionally, we team members decided not to use our business property, our position or info for inappropriate personal gain. One of my team members suggested including risk management activities in our business plan which were Data integrity, Risk analysis and Effective oversight. We all agreed and we conduct those risk management activities in our innovative GeoView business plan(Hirsch & McKenna, 2008). I would love to share my experience about my met expectations with my team that in the beginning of the plan execution i was totally unsure about even trial product launch. Moreover, now if I will conclude my team work experience in words thenaccording to me, effective teamwork plays a fundamental role in executing and achieving big goal quicker and better for a team venture. Each and every team member played his or her dedicated role and took their different responsibilities, which integrated together and made the team function well as well as achieve our business goal.
