INTRODUCTION
In an organization number of people working collectively by showcasing their skills and
abilities to work that supports to develop organizational performance and productivity. The
workplace transformation is the important part of digital transformation and creating business
cultures that attract, inspire, and retaining top talent people by providing right activities. This is
most important for each organization to understand the need and wants of their employees and
provide them right suggestions to work effectively. If employer provides a facility of workspaces
transformation then it will be opportunity to grow their business. Technology is growing faster as
it make easier task by managing all functions and activities effectively. Internet of Thing is the
wider concept of connecting any device to the internet and to other connected devices. This can
be used to connect more than one computer and manage the work accordingly (Meske, and
Junglas, 2021). As pandemic occurred in whole world where it became difficult to operate
business from the offices where technology is being used by business concern to continue their
activities and functions via internet of thing. To understand about workplace transformation
Aston Martin has been selected that is independent British manufacturer of high-end sports
vehicles and grand tours. Lionel Martin and Robert Banford formed the group in 1913. The
company has over 160 dealerships in 53 countries, making it a global automaker. The company's
headquarters and principal production of sports vehicles and grand tourers are located in a 22-
hectare (55-acre) complex close to the Jaguar Land Rover Gaydon Centre in Gaydon,
Warwickshire, England. The organization's production and selling activities were restricted by
Covid-19, but the deployment of IOT enabled them to continue to govern their business. The
report covers aims and objectives, literature review, research methodology, and ethical
consideration that supports to develop understandings.
RESEARCH AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
Research Aims: “To identify the impact of technology and the requirements needed for
employees to carry out their roles and collaborate in workplace transformation”. A case study of
Aston Martin.
Research Objectives:
• To explain the concepts of workplace transformation.

• To identify the impacts of digital technology and the requirements needed for Aston Martin’s
employee to carry out their roles and collaborate.
• State the different ways could be used by Aston Martin to improve organizational performance
by following workplace transformation.

Research rationale
The reason behind conducting research is to know about how technology is impacting on
business and employees who are working in an organization. Technology is the practical
application of scientific knowledge, particularly in industry, where it is utilised to make work
easier and more cost-effective. This is important for each organization to analysis the market and
come to know what new technology is running in business environment and how it is used to
operate their business effectively. The researcher has got topic from tutor and conducting the
research that will help to improve knowledge about technology and uses that could aid in the
efficient management of all functions and activities Furthermore, researchers will have a better
understanding of how to improve current performance, which will help to boost organisational
productivity and profitability. (Trenerry, Chng, Wang, Suhaila, Lim, Lu, and Oh, 2021).
Research scope
The scope of research is greater as it involves longer description of technology which is
used by business industries while operating their business. This states how new technologies are
used by companies and how it maintain all functions effective. The researcher is having major
role as it receive the topic and conduct analysis that supports to manage all functions and
activities effectively. in other words, current research is within boundaries where research project
will be performed properly by collecting sources and information properly regarding specific
topic.
