Introduction
Business is an organisation where the entrepreneur are
engaged in order to provide goods and services to their
targeted customers so that they can on profitability from
the competitive market . The report is being discussed
about the external and internal factors which affects the
functions of an organisation. The different ways in which
the business can impact the external environment are also
discussed. The assignment is based upon Tesco PLC
which is a British multinational organisation founded in
the year of 1919 by Jack Cohen.

External Environment
It is important for the company to determine the external factors
which helps the company to determine the factors which affects their
functions. The Tesco use to determine the external factors with the
help of PESTEL analysis. The model is discussed below:
Political factors: Tesco PLC is the multinational organisation which
operating its function around the globe, there are several political
factors which influence the performance of the organisation such as
acts of legislation, tax rates and the stability of the country with
respect to the operations. The organisation plays an important role in
developing the employment opportunities for the people who helps
them to increase the demands of their products and diversify the
workforce.
How the company impact its context External
Environment
Economics of sale means the higher leads to lower
average cost and lower prices for the customers which
helps the customers to avail more products from the
organisation. Tesco has grown and become successful
because the main aim of the organisation is to meet the
needs and wants of the targeted customers. Organization
used to provide good quality of foods and products to
the targeted customers which helps them to satisfy their
basic needs into an effective manner
Internal Factors
These are the factors which are under the control of the
organisation no matter whether they are tangible or
intangible (Gauding and et. al., 2021). These factors are
used in order to determine the strength and weakness of
the company.
Human Resource: the employees can be either a strength
or weakness for the company which is totally dependent
upon the level of practical skills attitudes and performance
which are processed by such workforce (Mubako and
Muzorewa, 2019). As Tesco has skillful and
knowledgeable employees within the organisation which
helps them to attend the common goal of the company
into an effective manner.
