INTRODUCTION
Marketing is an activity in which the organisation educates its targeted customers about
the products, services to any other message it wants to convey to them. It is consider a very
essential part of any business as this helps in creating awareness about the brand and its offered
products or services. Organisation makes a proper plan for performing their marketing activities
in which they plan out how they will going to perform the marketing activities like advertising,
promoting, holding of events and so on. All these things come under the marketing head. This
report discusses about the marketing assessment of Tesco Company. Tesco is a British
multinational company which specialises in selling the merchandises and groceries to the public.
It is the world 3rd largest company into the retail business.
This report includes the marketing audits and strategies which have been used by the
company. It also includes the current position which the company has in regard with market.
Apart from this the two market segmentation proposal has also been formed which helps the
company in deciding which market they should target by showing them the available
alternatives.

It is an audit in which both internal and external environmental analyses are performed by
the company comprehensively. The marketing audit is performed so that the organisation gets to
know more about their marketing performances into the market. The audit is helpful in
highlighting the areas in which the organisation has performed well as well as the area in which
the organisation is not performing up to the mark (Beheshtian-Ardakani, Fathian and Gholamian,
2018). The marketing audit for any organisation includes the strategic auditing, SWOT analyses,
marketing mix, pestle analyses and porter’s five force model.
