MAIN BODY Leadership and Management 1)Operational context of the Easy Jet organization Leadership plays an important role in the easy jet company and it included motivates employees, guide employees related to work process. Leadership is the essential part of every organization. Leadership is a great procedure by which a leader can guide, influence and direct the work and behavior of the employees of Easy Jet organization towardstheachievementofspecificsgoalsandsuccess.Perfectleadershipand management in the organization ensure that the company is on the right path. It also encourages employees of the Easy Jet organization to conduct their operational and function activity it very efficient way (Armstrong and Taylor. 2020). The executives of the Easy Jet organization implement appropriate guidelines in their work platform to build best leadership and management. Effective management assists in accomplishing company’s goals. It maintains all
the elements of production, organizes and assembles the resources, operates the resources in a very efficient manner to achieve goals. It helps the organizations to monitor and control its whole operations and activities. 2)Theoretical models of Leadership and management a.Contingency theory-The contingency theory identify that the style or attitude of a leader is perfectly suited for the present situation. It is also determine that according to different different situations the different leadership style is required. Contingency theoryfocusonthattheperfectleadershipisamixtureofmanyvariables (Hurmelinna-Laukkanen and Olander., 2019). b.Behavioral theory– This theory has a mainly focus on the specific actions and behaviors of leaders. It says that an effective leadership comes out from the great learned skills. It included three major skills such as human, technical and conceptual skills. All these play an integral role to improve leadership and management in the East Jet organization. 3. Transformational theory –Transformational theory may apply in the all level of the organization such as departments, divisions, teams etc. This theory has mainly focus is too adept the changes according to the situation. In this theory, leaders and managers are inspiring, risk takers, daring, thoughtful thinker and visionary. Transformational leaders take necessary actions to transform the situation (Khan and Milner. 2020). These theories motivate the employees of Easy Jet towards the positive thoughts and development and also encourage the employees of self motivatiopon for controlling and accept changes. 3)Recommendations on the needed skills, knowledge and behavior by management for effective leadership and management For the effective and efficient leadership and management in the Easy Jet, organization must have to follow leadership and management guidelines and rules. Training and development is a major part of management and performance system (Wild. 2017).Proper training and development helps the organization to enhance their productivity and maintain quality standards. It increases the organizational flexibility and stability. It improves the employee’s performances and enhances their skills. It encourages the Easy Jet’s staffs towards the globalization and changes. Appropriate training and development programs decreased the plane accidents and errors.It also increases the employee’s confidence and motivates them towards the new techniques and development. It helps to develop new strategies and implement changes accordingly. It also decreased monitoring and supervisory activities; it can reduce company’s extra expenses. Advance traing and development programs help to develop safety standards. It assists the employees of Easy Jet by improving their practices of handling plane’s equipment (Ahmed and et. al., 2018). With the training and development, company and employees get various ideas and thoughts to implement and also they get many approaches to execute all the complex tasks and operations. 2.Theories of training and development
a.Theory of reinforcement- The reinforcement theory focuses on the learning attitude and behavior of an individual. It forced the employees or staffs to learn something new and innovative. This theory is also suggested that leaner should have to take necessary actions to generate positive outcomes for the company’s success. It encourages that training and development programs must be aligned with the Easy Jet’s objective to achieve it successfully. In the organization,traininganddevelopmentshouldbeindulgedwithhuman resource practices. b.Theory of social learning –This theory develops a new and unique thought of learning process. It says that the social learning can be increases by the surrounding people. This theory is also known as observation learning and its focuses on to understand the different human behavior (Schaltegger, Burritt and Petersen.2017).Social learning totally depends on the surroundings and environment of organization. Theory of social learning focus on mental states of a person and that plays an integral role in learning procedure. c.Cognitivelearningtheory–Cognitivelearningtheory says thatin the learning procedures learners should have to be alert to enhance their skills, memories, interest, knowledge etc. 3.Recommendationsontheneededskills,knowledgeandbehaviorby management for effective training and development Easy Jet organization should have to take essential actions to implement effective training and development programs in their company to upgrade employeesorstaffs.Firstly,thecompanyshouldhavetoperform assessment according to their areas such as assurance of quality of service,employeesatisfaction,servicedepartment,educationof employees etc (Ashdow.2018). The company should also arrange an expert to manage training and development programs time to time. The company should encourage new process under the training development related to online program. Easy Jet Company should have to conducted
new training development program to improve employee’s knowledge and skills. In the training and development program company should have to include overall strategy and management programs (Wilton. 2016). Easy Jetshouldhavetoconductedonlinetestingprogramstocheckthe employee’s knowledge and improve them accordingly. In the training and development function it is very necessary that the design of training program more attractive. It is essential to set up a specific benchmark of employee’s performance in the training and development. The Main objective of talent management is to develop, retain and recruit good talent in the company.
