Introduction
Canada is a state that has been built around its generous immigration programs
well as its entrepreneurial spirit of the native population . This allow immigrant to
have multiple opportunities as employees within the country. Therefore, it is
important that the Canadian government as well as the initiatives that it has
established to continue adapt to Canada’s as well as the ever-changing needs of the
immigrants across the world . The main objective of this paper is to understand the
government’s plan to admit temporary residents by category.
Discussion
The main classifications of residents are :
Government assisted; the government assisted residents include students and
asylum seekers . This also includes refugees from war tone countries across the
world (Grubel,2011).
privately sponsored refugees : Through this category, the Canadian government
intends increase its , accommodation of all LGBTQ communities .This will help in the
realization of the key Canadian values and gender equality
Family class residents : Among the spouses and partners , there is as slight
change towards gender parity .This has been an effort by the government to ensure
that the number of females admitted through this class is increased(Swinkels, et.al.,
2011).
positive asylum residents :By 2015 , the total number of protected persons in
Canada were approximately 34,622. All individuals were admitted through the four
classifications . Others are admitted on humanitarian basis or under public policies
and is within the planned range of 25,600 and 29,700. The Canadian government
has the obligation of establishing the necessary requirements under the four
categories .
Conclusion
Immigration is still a fundamental component to Canada’s Economic
prosperity and sustainability . As a result, the Canadian government has
implemented new plans for immigration bit all within the key categories .One major
plan is the expansion of refugee programs and also reuniting families on the basis
of priorities . Further modernization and improvement of services it provides to
Canadian and immigrants is also a huge priority . Through these indicated
classifications of residents , Canada intends to enhance effectiveness and
performance of its programs while maintaining the fundamental family , social ,

protection Act .
