MAIN BODY Contrast leadership and management There are two ways to organize people that is leadership and management which are used in an effective manner by the business in order to enhance the relationship. It is not possible to maintain the operations of the business if the leadership and management of the company are not effective. Both the aspects have many things in common as both of them are necessary in hierarchy of the organization and both of them are considered as elements which are vital for the company. On the other hand both of them has many differences as their style are different from each other. For instance- leaders give inspiration to others and bring change in the company whereas managers cope up with the change and the challenges that come with it (Zeng, 2019). Leadership has one main objective that is to focus on goals which are long term for the company as the company relies on their decision. They motivate employees by showing them their vision in order to achieve the goals of the company. It is based on the previous achievements of the company. Leaders have many followers which they have to lead and they set the target and goals for the company so that they can increase their performance. Leaders motivates the company to work with collaboration. There are reasons by which they are considered as leaders such as the nature of adapting new things according to the trends of the market, they are creative as they bring new and innovative measures to the company. Other than this they have other traits such as control on their emotions and have integrity (Lam and et.al., 2018). On the other hand management has different criteria as it focuses on short term goals as managers of the company are involved in this aspect and they are in charge of taking care of day to day activities. It is concerned with guiding and supervising the performance of the employeessothatitcanbemeasuredagainstthesettarget.Managementbreaksthe procedures into parts so that it can be easy to follow and imply.The goal of managers is to manage the work of the group. They provide a control which is effective for the group of employeesand helpsthem to work accordingto the valuesand principleswhich are established. The principles of management is solely based on the aspects which are related with the behavior. The behavior of people can change according to the changes in the
environment of business or culture of the company. Apart from this managers of the company also makes sure that employees perform there duties by working up to their potential. Other than this managers have other traits such as extraversion, openness, agreeableness and conscientiousness. Both of the aspects are interdependent and their characteristics are interchangeable. The major differences between both the aspects are their activities. Objective to identify difference between Management and Leadership to evaluate theories of management to evaluate theories and models of leadership to identify basis of difference between Management and Leadership to analyze similarity between Management and Leadership Primary research has various methods such as questionnaire, interview and survey where as secondary research is done with the help of the data which is already existing such as journals, publications, articles etc.
