INTRODUCTION
The graduate challenge is program will defines the different activities that are going to
perform within the period of time graduating as where all the individual will showcase their
knowledge and relative information about the different brand that are presented in the market.
There are a lot of challenges that has come across the completion of graduation but on the other
hand there are so many other things to get learn that is relative to the group activities and the
presentation skills (Bolton, 2018). All the different challenges and the activities must have
perform under the e-portfolio or the electronic portfolio that is the overall collection of the
evidence related to the assembled and managed data with the help of electronic support mainly it
will get used as the web. It includes the vast category as like electronic files, images, blogs,
multimedia, input text and many others as well. The purpose of e-portfolio is to design the
adequate format that will support the learning by recording the different discussions, personal
development and action plan and its reflection as well. The furthermore, activities are briefly
described below in the report.
MAIN BODY
CHALLENGES
T-shirt challenge
During the T-shirt challenge various business angles were to be considered so that a brand
logo can be created for the T-shirt that could help in marketing the brand logo effectively in the
market. During the challenge various market condition are needed to be considered so that the
target market can be determined and their needs and wants can be evaluated so that they can be
offered products at profitable prices. During this challenge the budget that was considered was
£200 so that all the activities can be done effectively covering all the variable and fixed costs.
Team work, communication skills, business skills like forming e-portfolio etc. were the skills
that I developed during this challenge which is important in creating a business insight so that
effective business decisions can be made (Chambers, 2018). Also it is important that the logos of
other T-shirts were considered so that no such logo is created that violates the copyright of other
team members or company’s logo.

Presentation challenge:
While preparing a presentation various challenges are faced that can affect the quality of
work of the complete team like proper coordination of team members, developing an
understanding of the topic and responsibility by each team member. Communication skills are
the challenges that are faced during presentation which affects the way in which all the team
members are effectively informed. Also it helps in making the presentation understandable so
that the people in front of who it is presented can understand the content of the presentation.

Effective communication was the business angle that was included in this challenge so that these
skills can be developed which can help in successful business (Kaur, 2018). This challenge is
also related with attending e-portfolio on Google so that the way in which it can be formed can
be efficiently made understandable trough presentation. It also help in making effective business
presentations so that the business portfolio can be made understandable to all the people who
attend the meeting.
Debate challenge:
During the debate challenge the challenge that was faced was about the choice of topic so
that debate can take place in an effective manner. The chosen topics about the importance of
CSR as marketing tool and international companies should follow home country or international
laws were taken. The business angle in this challenge was to find an effective topic that can help
in enhancing the success of a business through CSR and by following legal framework so that it
can successfully survive in market. This challenge helped in conducting the debate effectively so
that knowledge related to business can be generated. Time management is the most important
skill which is related with this challenge and i was effectively able to develop this skill so that
objectives can be achieved on time. This challenge also help in being more informed about the
topics on which debate is conducted so that vast knowledge can be developed that can help in
gaining a wide insight if the business (Putra, 2018). This can also help in forming an effective e-
portfolio carrying strong and effective points.
Hotel challenge
The challenge related to hotel was about the branding of the hotel so that brand image of the
hotel can be created in market which can help in attracting a large number of customers so that
profits of hotel can be increased. Arrangement of finances and effective team work among the
team members were the challenges which were faced while branding about the hotel. In order to
efficiently create a e-portfolio so that the hotel image can be improved in market it is important
that sufficient amount of funds are available so that the activities related to branding can be
effectively done. Teamwork is the most important skill which helped me and the team members
in coordinating our work so that the activities related to branding can be performed in an
efficient manner. Also trough this activity the most essential skill which developed was effective
communication skill which is required in performing all the tasks, arranging for funds,

coordinating work etc. so that the hotel branding can be effectively done and challenge can be
won.
SKILLS
Communication skills
It is the skill that reflects the transformation of the message and information from one
person to other in clear and adequate manner (Sandri, 2018). As by gone through with different
challenges I have learned a lot about the communication skills and it get better. It is the skill that
I used while making the conversation with the other people and with that I always make sure that
right information will get conveyed and to make better understanding of it I have used the
Lasswell’s model and with this try to make the effectual communication and it helps me to make
the communication with systematic manner as like what to say, which channel has been chosen,
to whom the information get convey, what is the effect of the communication etc.
It is the theory that helps me to make the suitable communication as with this the clear and
required information get transmitted by which the other barrier has been resolved that could
resist the efficiency of the communication (Walton, 2018). As by facing the challenge it is the
skill that get developed a lot in me and I have become a successful communicator but with this I
have a fear to get present myself in front of the audience but with this skills I have try to make
best of mine while make the presentation.
Teamwork
It is the skill that will get developed while working with more than two numbers of
people and has share the target and objective by which all work together to accomplish that
target. I have used this skills when I am facing the challenge while working with the team with
that have try to make harmony by which all the issue will get solved with more sufficiency. I
have tried to make the effectual understanding of it by using the Tuckman’s teamwork theory by
which I have divided those teams into different phases. Forming in which the team was formed
with the help of teachers, storming in which each team get divided with the team member,
norming is the another stage in which better team get developed and performing in which team
make collective efforts. While facing this is a challenge I have tried to be more patience and with
that manage the hotel challenge in easiest manner.

Time management skills
It is the skill under which I have faced a lot of while managing all the activities get
performed within the timely manner. In this I have used the Pareto principle that is also known as
80/20 rule and with this try to make more effort with the completion of task by targeting it on the
basis of preferences. As per this principle around 80% of the effect will cause of the 20% .It will
induce more smoothness and flexibility while managing the task with that the overall activity get
divided into the segments by which the importance of each part will get recognised and effective
outcome get received with more perfection (Weiss, 2018). While managing these skills I have
come across with the challenge T shirt challenge so that the better outcomes will get attained
within the certain period of time.
Business skills
It is the skill that is mostly gets used to develop the problem solving, leadership and the
presentation skill as well. During the debate challenge the business skills will get used by which
all the needed and certain solution will get provided or developed to make the positive change
within the outcome. I have faced a challenge while working on the preparation of the budget in
which the amount will get divide to each activity on the basis of the Microsoft excel as I don’t
know much about how to make proper use of excel. Thus as with the help of the business skill I
have how to make the needed changes and up-gradation of the knowledge related to
management.
