The Impact of ICT on our Daily Lives Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) can be described as a set of technologically-driven tools and resources which enable its users to manage, communicate as well as disseminate information in an effective manner(Amiri and Woodside, 2017). In present day scenario, ICT forms a massive chunk of a person's daily life. This tool has substantially reduced the probability of having low productivity within all walks of life, be it for a business or an individual. For instance, paper newspapers have been largely replaced by online ones which not only result in saving paper as a valuable resource but also provide easier reference for avid readers who may want to go through a newspaper more than one time in a day. Apart from this, it has also resulted in the development of national advantage, specifically in terms of providing education (Gomez and Pather, 2012).Utilisation of various media such as Computers, learning software and video among others has helped in making learning easy for students of all ages. Additionally, it is also a tool which is most widely used by businesses and media agencies in order to promote the masses regarding important political and health-related issues.Lastly, one can say that ICT has impacted the daily lives of individuals so much so that it has become an integral part as well as influence on them and the manner in which they take important day-to- day decisions. From working to socializing, this resource has clearly provided more accessibility and variety to its users which has not only resulted in empowerment but also led to increase in productivity (Wastiau and et.al., 2013). 1
