INTRODUCTION
Mental Abuse refers to a form of abuse which creates a psychological or emotional
trauma for a particular person (Estefan, Coulter and VandeWeerd, 2016). Thus, it becomes quite
important that the identification of this type of abuse is done properly which will be quite helpful
in ensuring that the person who is facing this abuse can report it which will lead towards taking
of different types of measures so that the abuse can be reduced effectively and efficiently. This
causes a high-level of distress for the people who are facing it because the people who face it
suffer silently without reporting it to anyone. Psychologists provide the mental counselling so
that the trauma faced by the mental abuse by a person can be reduced. Thus it becomes highly
important that the different types of psychologists are able to take the measures for this particular
purpose. In this way it can be said that the problem of mental abuse has become very wide
because of the influence of various types of factors which are leading towards an increase in the
mental abuse. The topic which has been chosen for this project is The impact of mental abuse on
women in the U.K. even after being a developed country such type of cases are reported in the
country. This particularly creates an impact on the overall impact on the mental and emotional
health of the women in the country (Gasior, Bond and Malamut, 2016). Women face abuse
mostly by their partners. Thus, the mental counselling is highly essential so that the women are
able to ensure that the emotional trauma which has been caused to them can be reported by them
and thus they are able to take the right measures so that they are able to reduce this particular
emotional trauma in the right manner. Therefore, it becomes highly important that the right
measures are taken in a proper manner so that the mental abuse on the women can be reduced.
The reason due to which this topic has been chosen is that it is important to identify the forms of
emotional abuse which is being faced by the women in the country which will be quite helpful in
order to ensure that the research on the wide range of needs and requirements of the women can
be done in a proper manner. Thus, The overall development of knowledge in relation to this
particular topic can be done highly effectively and efficiently in the right manner. The aim for
this work is to make sure that the different forms of abuse which are faced by the women in the
country can be identified effectively and efficiently. Thus, In this way it can be said that for the
achievement of this particular aim it is quite essential that the identification of the different types
of abuse which are faced by women are identified and thus the right actions can be taken so that
the prevention of the abuse can be done highly effectively and efficiently.
