The behavioural pattern that is causes the poor ability to function in life is defined as the
mental illness or mental disorder. Many disorders may be diagnosed by the mental health
professionals (Fuhr and et.al., 2014). The causes of mental illness are often unclear and difficult
to diagnose. The combination of behaviours, feelings, thinkings of a person shows the symptoms
of mental disorder in an individual. In this report the statement of objectives, significance of the
topic, its definition in detail will be explained. The critical analysis of literature, recommendation
for practice and conclusion will be discussed below.
STATEMENT OF OBJECTIVE
Objectives are the efforts or the actions intended to attain the goal, purpose, target in a report by
an individual. Some objectives are as follows :
To understand the concept of depression on mental health of an individual.
To identify the factors causing depression and there impact on health of an individual.
To analyse the reasons that causes depression in daily routine life.

Some factors that plays an important role to stay away from depression are :
Sleep hygiene : Proper sleep play an important role to keep the depression away. It is felt by the
experts that the people should learn about insomnia which a disease. In this disease the people
are unable to sleep properly due to which they face health problems mainly depression.
Lifestyle changes : As everyone knows that caffeine contributes to sleeplessness in an individual
as alcohol and nicotine (O'Hara and et.al., 2014). The alcohol initially depresses the nervous
system, which some people to fall asleep. The effects of regular alcohol causes many other
health issues and the impact of alcohol remains for a lesser time.
Techniques to relax : The exercises like meditation,guided imagery, deep breathing and
progressive muscle relaxation helps to reduce or remove anxiety and mental stress.

and aims to be achieved by him/ her and then to work upon to accomplish the goals on time. The
eating habits of an individual plays an important role in overcoming from any health issue or
mental problem (Fuhr and et.al., 2014). The proper exercise such as meditation, laughing
sessions, stress removal exercises should be done in regular way to reduce daily stress to avoid
depression. Sleep is the main key to get rid of problem such as depression or any other health
issue. Proper sleep gives concentration, clam and peaceful mind to wake with freshness with any
worries and tensions. Sometime music is the best way to lose tensions. The music helps get rid of
unwanted tensions and stress. It helps an individual to make him/ her happy which does not let
them to get in depression. To avoid the problems of depression or mental health an individual
