This article discusses the formation, growth, and staging stage of the PyeongChang Winter Olympics 2018 and evaluates the future development associated with the sustainability of such actions. It also provides recommendations for sustainable development of sports for social advancement.

Introduction
The Winter Olympics held in 2018, which was formally known as XXIII Olympic Winter
Games and generally known as PyeongChang 2018. It was a main worldwide multi-sport
event in PyeongChang nation, Gangwon State of South Korea. It is stated that this is the first
time as South Koreas had presented the Winter Olympics and overall it is the second
Olympics, which is held after 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul (Park et al., 2017). In the
following, an effort has been made to discuss the formation, growth, and staging stage of the
PyeongChang Winter Olympics and evaluate the future development associated with the
sustainability of such actions.
Formation stage of Pyeongchang Winter Olympics
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) declared the formation of the PyeongChang
2018, which is led by the Kim Jin-sun. It is stated that the PyeongChang forming committee
for the Paralympic & Olympic Winter Games was presented its opening assembly. With the
host country, the Republic of Korea, this is marching with every point of direction with their
neighboring country. Under the Korean alliance flag in a strong gesture of togetherness,
peace, and friendship, the central event as the 23rd Edition of the Olympic Winter Games was
formally presented on 9 February 2018. A vast crowd at PyeongChang Olympic Stadium
examined a truly remarkable opening assembly and billions of people are watching TV
around the world (Cho, Min and Kim, 2018).
It is stated that a palpable sense of enthusiasm and huge anticipation invaded the Olympic
Stadium is ahead of the long-awaited opening assembly of the Olympic Winter Games
PyeongChang 2018. It is that stadium, which is particularly built for this event as it combines
several symmetrical forms i.e. triangle, circle, and squares (Cheong, 2018). It delivers a
colourful outburst of fireworks that highlights the night sky above PyeongChang. Now, the
main characters of the PyeongChang2018 starting ceremony of the Winter Olympics were the
five Korean kids, which were representing the main five elements i.e. wood, fire, earth,
metal, and water. They were based on Korean traditional values and beliefs of the world. It is
further followed on a journey through peace and harmony (Kim, Choi and Kaplanidou,
2015).

Growth stage of the PyeongChang Winter Olympics
The growth of the Winter Olympics to incorporate 102 events across 15 sports at
PyeongChang, along with its worldwide media coverage as large cities are participated and
presented the Winter Games in the few periods. This, in turn, moved the way for the
commencement of the Athletes Parade as the flags of the each of the Winter Olympics were
celebrated on large scale. In this time, it is honored by the Greek NOC delegation and further
directed by the nation’s sole representative. Then the African team in the sport to present on
the Olympic stage followed it. It is stated that among the delegations of the Winter sports
from Asia, Europe, and North, also Ecuador, Cyprus, Togo, Azerbaijan, Madagascar,
Malaysia, Kosovo, and Tonga were amongst the 18 nations signified by just one athlete (Ahn,
2018).
The Olympic mission was on their boom as the president of the PyeongChang2018 are
referring to the stakeholders and taking advice from them to make the best event in the
overall world. The representative of the committee and Korean administration officials
deliver the feedback and assistance to safeguard the Olympic Winter Games athletes the best
environment possible (Blauwet and Willick, 2012). It recapitalizes more than 93 percent of
its income to the sporting event, which predicts that ate very point of time it is equal to 3.27

Staging of the PyeongChang Winter Olympics
As it has reached its finale, which was a truly remarkable moment and breaks comprises of

change in the overall environment of the PyeongChang2018 Winter Olympics, as it assists in
making a productive commitment to an innovative world (Kim and Chung, 2018).

rise above conflict develop mutual recognition and break the hurdles, which is present in the
event. The closing assembly outburst the crowd with innovative special effects, live
performances, and peace of the people of Korea has made the event so interesting and
excellent (Park et al., 2017).
Conclusion and Recommendation
 They should have proposed declaration for sustainable development of the sports for
social advancement.
 They should continue to provide a commitment for recognition of peace and
development.
 They should maintain respect and tolerance with the empowerment of young people
and women, as well as regarding education and health.
 They should provide an international principle for the development of sustainable
framework that reduces the burden on societies and maximizes positive influence.
 They should start an initiative towards the PyeongChang Winter Olympics, which
recaptures the economy in generating new employment opportunities.
 They have progressively enjoyed the reputation for a competitive edge, as it is a
significant part of the ceremony with a remarkable development in technological
capabilities and its part in maintaining a more harmonious world.
 They also have to find a direction to maintain the balance between the athletes and
facilities of the event, which is simply challenging for the country.
 They should also contribute to decreases the environmental influences of the event
(Kshetri and Rojas-Torres, 2018).
The PyeongChang Winter Olympics 2018 has motivated to move in a direction towards
sustainability. They have inspired to cooperate positively despite all the challenges and
differences. It has succeeded progressively as the Olympic committee has controlled the
framework and regulations of the event. It is an effective way as it is committed to delivering
a better world with the help of sport. It has discussed the formation, growth, and staging stage
of the ceremony. It is necessary to maintain peace as sustainable development is one of the
major goals of the PyeongChang Winter Olympics. They also continue to provide a strong
commitment, which gives benefit to the PyeongChang2018. The cooperation from all the
potential levels of the Gangwon state and officials of Korea will provide success and growth

to the Olympic Games. It is gaining greater satisfaction and recognition from every people of
the nation. The main motive and the core message of is spreading peace in the whole event as
the countdown to start of the assembly was estimated into the early bell of peace, which is as
per the lands of Korea. The athletes are moving the way ahead of every sport, which they
were playing and use this platform to address discriminations around the universe. It
determines the values and principles of peace, harmony, and convergence and earth, heaven,
and humanity progressively, which are important to Korean culture and ethics.
