The supply chain is the main process of most of the retail businesses, as it is playing a
key role in the relationship between firms and customers. Moreover, many companies have
used the best innovations and technologies for improving their supply chain processes to
improve their performance and growth (Blake, 2019). In addition, there are many good things
in the system, which are beneficial for the growth and success of a firm (Daniel, 2019). This
report will provide an overview of the Woolworths and its business functions. It will discuss
the day-to-day operation of the company, which is considered in the 24-hours cycle.
Moreover, basic processes can be managed using various things, which are part of the
company’s business processes. This report will explain the connection between theory and

Woolworths value chain.

grocery and supermarket stores, which is owned by Woolworths group. It was founded in
1924 along with Coles. It is a part of the retail industry, which has created a good image in
the overall world. The headquarter is situated in the Bella Vista, New South Wales, Australia.
The revenue of the company is A$ 39.568 billion. The firm has employed more than 100,000.
The main slogan of the company is ‘Fresh Food People’. It is the best way to attract
customers (Martin, 2019).
Moreover, Woolworths has included sustainable development in their business
processes, which are helpful in the growth of the company. In addition, the firm has included
various methods to improve their operations of day-to-day (Riches, 2015). Besides, the
company has included new technologies to improve the outcomes. It will provide various
opportunities in the future.
