information, retrieving and storing the data. For the success in business there are various
workings which are done by the IT company. Through the use of techniques and technologies
they help to communicate and automate the task. All the requirement which an organisation
needs to run the firm efficiently like networks and managing hardware, all this are done by IT
company. This IT companies assure that the data is secured and the devices are functioning
effectively. The IT companies are essential for functioning, infrastructure and
governing(Bygstad and Øvrelid, 2020).

1.0 Describe theories, methods and techniques which relate to the design and development
for MOODLE and MS OFFICE.(309)
MS Office : This was founded by bill gates on 1 august, 1988 at Comdex in Las
Vegas. It was developed by Microsoft and it is also a part of server software and
client software. This can be operate in android mobile phones and Ios also but mostly
it is used in desktop(Flew and Iosifidis, 2020). This is used for business and office
purpose. It is available in 35 various languages. The main purpose for creating this is
to make the office work automate with an assemble of applications. It includes: word,
power point, excel, outlook, access, publisher application and one note. This all have
their different features according to their usage.
1. MS word : this is used to create a text document.

MOODLE : It is a platform which is used for learning which helps the educators,
students and administrators. To create a environment of learning it is provided with a
feature of integrated system, secure and a single robust. This is founded by Moodle
projects and assist by Moodle HQ(Athaya, Nadir, Indra Sensuse and et. al, 2021).This
is supported by 80 Moodle network services across the globe. This is basically built
for learning around the world it has several features like:
1. it is operated globally and assured
2. easy to accessibility
3. it is free to use and no fees is required for licensing
4. this is made to help the learners and teachers
5. this is always updated and available in almost all languages.
2.0 Define and provide examples for each of the systems below (definition and giving 2
examples of each system). (415)
i. DSS (Decision Support System): It is system used to assemble and evaluate the data
and produces an informative report. This helps in decision making, problem solve in
timely manner, planning, management and improved the effectiveness to deal with the
issues. It is accepted as a component of BI with the data mining and warehousing. the
employee who are working in planning department and operation department can
used this to combine the information and implement it. The main function of this to
collect the data and on that basis took a decision. For example: GPS routing planning ,
crop planning and many more(Greenstein, 2019) .
ii. ESS (Executive Support System): This can also be called as Executive Information
System. It is used to improve the decision-making for executive. This helps the
individual to convert the data into reports like billing, accounting and staffing data.
This is used by a top level of management in order to support a decision in
management. This is an instrument which helps to update or modify the information.
For example : it is used by a company for investment plan(Sudarso,2022).
iii. TPS (Transaction Processing System): In this the duration of transaction is short
and it is already processed. This systems collects the data, stored the data and
students and administrators. To create a environment of learning it is provided with a

IV. MIS (Management Information System): The management information system
is an user oriented plan of action with a focus on services by techniques. It is a study of
relationship between people, technologies and firms. A deep knowledge in MIS helps you to
enhance the individual's standard of living and also the usage of technologies. This can
generate a skill in you like- problem solving skill, communication skills, able to manage time
and resources and many more. For example: invoicing, controlling of stock, order processing
and payroll processing(Demigha,2021).
V. KSM (Knowledge Management System): It is a system applicable and used by
the employees and consumers to understand the management principles which help them to
share , create and insight information agile. In this system the information is captured and
assures that it is easily accessible by the employees and customers. This is designed to
combine the organisations knowledge or idea and enhance the working efficiency. For
example: canva, evernote, vend and many more(Yaseen and Kamal, 2020.).
3.0 What is Globalisation? what are the effects of IT on Globalisation.
(definition and discussion, 3 effects)
It is very difficult to explain the concept of globalisation. It was initiated in the year
1900. It is a term which describes the freely transfer of goods and services within and outside
the countries globally. It also includes the relation between organisation and the cash in hand
around the world. Due to the globalisation the domestic market has been expanded to the
international market. The globalisation has turned up the workings of countries, the import
and export of goods and services has been started across the world wide. Through this
process every field get benefit as the companies have chances to grow up and it leads to cost
effective which attracts the job opportunities(Nababan and Jannah,2019). The effects of IT on
globalisation is been explained below:

process every field get benefit as the companies have chances to grow up and it leads to cost
effective which attracts the job opportunities(Nababan and Jannah,2019). The effects of IT on
globalisation is been explained below:
The main factor for the evolution of globalisation is considered as the advancement of
technologies.
Increase in the desktop's: The increasing in the personal computer's eradicated the
essential obstacle which was limiting the globalisation- it was restricting on the on
content which the person can obtained, upgrade or update. The desktop's offers the
individual to make their own content and share them across the world.
Innovation of the WWW: It was invented in 1991. This is helpful for the persons ,
from this they can easily able to post their content around the world. Prior to this
world wide web, the internet was there which connects the people. Now, the www
gives a common path for sharing the content and the information.
Digitalisation, mobile and virtual movement: The world has been captured by the
digital camera, mobiles, laptops and as a result this leads to the expansion of
globalisation. The instant messaging technology allows the users to communicate
instantly, doesn't matter where they locate around the world.
4.0 Give an example of one digital infrastructure, define it, list advantages and
disadvantages.
Digital infrastructure used to perform in their different organisation related to
technology & functioning(Ardolino, Rapaccini, Saccani, and et.al, 2018).It is used for the
supply of services in the distant areas. There are various examples of digital infrastructure:
Mobile telecom: This allocates the telephone services to cellphones which help to move it
freely and they do not stay in a fixed location. This can be assumed to be specific and point to
a connection or voice-only service.
Advantages:
it helps to Access the net anytime and at anywhere
Mobile telecom give allowance to people to communicate with colleagues and peer
for asking to help or working together.
this give benefit to the individuals to complete their work on exact time and this
only becomes possible with the help of invention of telecom.
It is an also a source of entertainment.
Disadvantages
technologies.

Disadvantages
This sometimes may create disruption of work.
This may result in the delay of the work and also they may take a lot more time to
complete the work.
Without internet this can be quite tough to promote and work into the
organisation's services and products.
To manage work effectively. It declines the capabilities of an employees.
5.0 Give a second example of digital infrastructure, define it, list advantages and
disadvantages.
Cloud services is another example for digital infrastructure. Such services that are delivered
through the internet to the organisations on the request of the customers. This type of services
are cheap and can be found quickly(Li, Lu,and Darbandi, 2021). There are various cloud
services such as Dropbox, sales-force, etc.
Advantages
The reduction in cost is done on the basis of the operating cost in which the system
cost in upgrading and in energy consumption of the system.
It even secures the location of the data.
This source also gives a sense of security to the company for the data that has been
stored. It is easy to restore your data.
Disadvantages
if the person does not have proper network, it would be a difficult task to access the
same data.
there may be issues in the transferring of the data from one site to other site.
may loose certain files due to the network issue therefore it is considered as the draw
back of the cloud service.
This can also leak your data.
