Executive Summary
The technology is growing day by day. As technology, growing alongside the business also
should find a way to suit up the business along with technological growth. Lacking of the
technology update indicates that the business going to be deteriorate by their own. The
healthcare products global pioneer Advanced Medicos Limited is selling their health care
products across the world. The Company wants to improve the business with certain level by
upgrading the IT network infrastructure to compete the global customer needs.
The Advanced Medicos Limited is using the traditional method of network architecture. The
existing system will never support the higher end technology. It might be disgust for the
customers to stay connected with the company to satisfy of their needs. In order to maintain
customer centric network, the company outsourced the network upgrade work to the third
party. The third party should propose the network, which satisfies all the requirements of the
AML alongside the proposed network, should be sufficient to quench the technological need
next five years. Moreover, it should support the older network device as well. The study has
been done here for the analysis of the errors found in the current network for the
organization. The report has been developed here considering the future needs of the
organization. The newly developed network should be able to address all the technical,
business goals and the other objectives of the system for the organization.
In addition to the analysis, the design for the new proposed system has also been explained in
the report. Both the physical and the logical designs of the network has been described in the
report and IP addressing for the design of the network layout that is to be developed for the
organization has also been provided.

1. Introduction
The Advanced Medicos Organization is innovator organization in the sector of
healthcare products. This organization is currently manufactures the healthcare products and
sales this products across the whole country. Currently this organization is looking for
upgrading their existing network to some global standard criteria so that they will be able to
satisfy their consumer needs without any type of delay in the whole process. To achieve this,
organization need to connect with the external world very strongly and for that they need to
deploy some advanced network. Some major constrains is also present in the rollback of the
supporting problems and this constrains occurs due to implementation of contemporary
technology within traditional type of network. In this aspect the modern technology will be
able to provide support to old model of network elements for extraction of the data.
Currently, the Advanced Medicos Limited Company has proposed an advanced
technology to bring improvements in the availability of the network, network performance,
reachability of the network and faster response from the network with having a greater
reliability. The contemporary type of network design will be able to ensure the solution for
the future objectives, technical and versatile business. Meanwhile, the proposed network will
be able to ensure a higher standard of security for accessing the database and the accounts of
users. The technology which has been proposed in this case are including VPN, BYOD
network, Wi-Fi, Video Conferencing and VoIP.
2. Analysis of User Requirements
This project will be able to fulfil various of requirements of the users. Through the
execution of the project, this project will be able to address all the needs which are important
for a standard IT infrastructure network. This project must not compromise on the device

selection quality and best protocol stacks will be utilised in this case which are important for
fulfil the requirements of the users. Future problems will be mitigated through this project
and scalability will be provided in this case. The proposed network will also satisfy the
current needs of the employees.
To fulfil all the requirements of the users it is very much important to address all the
current problems for the next five years. For solving the current issues the proposed network
in this context will be able to support most of the high end technologies and services which
includes BYOD, VoIP, Wi-Fi, 3D Printer, Video Conferencing, VPN and the Office suite
accessibility. The security related servers will be able to protect the network of the
organization from various of criticalities and external threats.
3. Description & Analysis of Current Setup
The current network of the organization has been described in the report. The
organization has developed the current network to meet the basic needs of the business of the
organization. The current network has been distributed into two building, however the
network lags in the connection in between the two buildings and additionally the network can
allocate only 200 staffs in the network. The network distribution for the organization into
four different departments have been described below:

In addition to this, it is also known that the network for the organization is not sub
netted properly. Hence there is no proper communication in the network and there is
disruption in the network traffic.
4. Description of Proposed Network
Goals of the network design
In the current context proper design of the network is very much important to fulfil all
the objectives and the goals of the organization. Considering goals of the organization there is
mainly two types of goals. The first one is the business goal and the second one is the
technical goal. In the following context both of these two goals will be elaborated in brief.
Business Goals
 The proposed network must be fast so that it will become responsive and it must be
scalable enough which an important aspect of the IT network infrastructure.
 The network which has been proposed in this case, should be capable of supporting
all types of advanced technologies and this includes VoIP, VPN, Video Conferencing
and Wi-Fi.
 Proposed network must be capable of supporting minimum of 400 employees at the
time of the implementation.
 High security of the database need to be assured in this case and the user account
accessibility also must be secured in this case.

 The maintenance cost and the operational cost should be minimised but still the
proposed solution will be able to provide an efficient service.
Technical Goals
 The proposed network solution should be accessible from any type of location by
using ant type of devices. Actually, flexibility of the proposed system must be
ensured.
 The provided network solution need to be capable of supporting all the available latest
technology and this technology also must ensure that there is no requirement for the
upgrading the network for the next five years.
 The network elements which have been presented in this case must be capable of
providing maximum efficiency, availability, scalability, performance and highly
configured security standards.
5. Circuit description of the network
The circuit of the proposed network is very much important in the case of successful
development of the network. In this aspect the transmission media plays a very important
role. Through proper description of proposed network it will be very much easy to
development of the communication path for the nodes which are deployed within the network
of the organization. The event of transmitting the data will be also executed with the
developed communication path within the network. The proposed network will be formed
among two buildings and to satisfy this criterion wireless communication need to be
developed in this aspect. Wired connection maybe required in many of the aspects, thus it can
be developed in between the networks of the buildings. Some connection between the
buildings will also use wired connection for a better efficiency. The important components
which are required is described in the following section.

system for the Advanced Medicos Limited organization.

The network related hardware which has been described in the above scenario are
gained from the professional network equipment supplier. The listed hardware is depending
on the requirement of the organization which are responsible for developing of the proposed
network system. Allocation of the network resources will be done on the basis of respective
departments which are present within the organization.
Physical Topology
The physical topology makes use of a router which is connected to the internet by
means of a modem. The network design would provide the managing director with the

working environment and the hardware placements, which are to be made in both the
buildings in the organization. This would be helpful in setting up the network within the
organization buildings.
Logical Topology
The design of the logical network has been created in the sense that the managing
director will be familiar with the proposed environment of working. This design of the
network which has been proposed in this case will be helpful for the discussion purpose of
logical distribution of the network.
5. IP Addressing Plan
The organization has instructed that they are to sub net their network into four
different departments. The table provided below has been used by the organization for the
distribution of the network. The organization has also instructed to develop the sub net
according to their said IP addressing subnet solution: 172.16.163.0/23.

The addressing solution developed above would be helpful for the organization in
maintaining their sub network and the expansion of the business of the organization can be
performed successfully with the help of this network. This network would be able to serve the
business of the organization in the next five years.
6. Conclusions
From the above discussion it can be concluded that by developing a new network the
Advanced Medicos Limited organization will be beneficial in this case as it will improve
their business efficiency. This report comprises important information regarding the proposed
network and a brief detail regarding the network has been provided in this case. From the
proposed in this this report it has been assessed that managing director of the organization
will be able to observe current deployment model of the proposed network system. Logical

design and the physical design both has been presented in this report. Further, IP address
allocation for the systems has been also presented in this case.
