INTRODUCTION
In current business times managers and leaders of various business enterprises makes
regular changes in operational structure of a business firm with fluctuations in respective
region of operations. In modern era hospitality industry have showed a great rise in share
markets and are currently the first priority of various investors present in the given region of
operational firms (Cooper, 2020). This sector offers wide variety of quality services to its
valuable customers ranging from accommodation, food and beverages, travel, tourism and
much more. In the present report operational working of accommodation sectors will be taken
into consideration. This report document will highlight range of career opportunities available
in the chosen sector and will analyse progress of the sector since its past times. With addition
to that various emerging employment trends in these sectors are also being focused upon.
MAIN BODY
Sector picked- Accommodation sector
Accommodation sector is recognised as an absolute border sector which provides
various facilities to its customers ranging from bed to breakfast. In such sectors major aims
and objectives of daily operational activities of the industry is set on attracting tourist visits in
the region (Courtois, 2019). Quality living standards and hospitality services are the main
services which are provided by such types of sectors. In this managers of the firm dedicate
their best resources towards quality life standards of various guests visiting the hotel.
However, respective sector can further be divided into two types i.e. serviced and non-
serviced.
Serviced Accommodation
In such type of accommodation services to a guest is provided with an overnight stay.
For example; hotels, guest house, hostels etc. This type of accommodations are offered with
staffs or maids at the duty such as room cleaners, food service, drinks etc. These types of
sector provides high quality service experience and increases living standards of various
individuals undertaking facilities of such accommodations (Everett and et. al., 2020).
The Dorchester
It is a 5 star luxury hotel which offers with quality of accommodations services to its
various guests residing inside the hotel. The respective hotel operates mainly in UK region,

a huge count of loyal or happy customers around the region. The hotel is well known for its
well-furnished as well as luxury rooms along with royal quality of services being provided to
its guests. In an individual is planning for stay or spending vacations, it would be
considerable the best hotel for family and some romantic stays with couple. Managers of the
firm are always concerned about getting feedbacks about the quality of products and services
delivered to various guests of the hotel. This makes this hotel in trend and has its decent place
in share markets as well.
Non-serviced Accommodation
In these types of accommodation services, an individual guest have full independency
in relation to various regulations being imposed in various accommodation sectors. This
element of accommodation sector offers with staying facilities to its various guests, however
other facilities such as food and water, room service etc. are catered by guest itself. If an
individual or a group of individual want to have some quality personal family times, these

organising and management skills along with effective communication skills.
Hotel management: In such type of job profile being offered by these sectors includes
various individuals’ interested areas such as, marketing, human resource, management,
financial management. This provides overseas opportunity to an individual ranging from ski
resorts to Caribbean island retreats.
Restaurant: In this element of respective opportunities provided, individual applying
for the job should possess expertise in field’s home science and management skills are also to
be inherited in respective individual applying for the profile.

operate effective in its given region and carry organisation towards attainment of growth
objective of the firm.

Respective management department of chosen firm i.e. The Dorchester, undertakes

goodwill in its given market region. For the purpose being, pure dedications are made
