Influence of Green Supply Chain Management in the Relation to UK Royal Air Force_1

Abstract
Green supply chain management is all about the process where products and services are
supplied from suppliers, manufacturers to end customers through material flow, information
flow, cash flow, etc. (). In early times, the purpose of supply chain management is to focused on
quality, optimum cost and best service in order to develop new positive working environment.
Overall, it has been seen that supply chain management helps to control the ineffective process
and better target given activities to the company. Sustainability in green supply chain
management is very much necessary and required to ensure safety. Supply chain management is
required to be qualitative in order to reduce all negative factors such as environmental
degradation, increased CO2 emissions and climate change relationship, natural inhabitants etc.
Present research will be based on various research methodologies which play a crucial role in the
development of secure supply chain management of Royal Air Force. This study mainly focused
on qualitative research tools. That helps to gathering appropriate knowledge of green supply
chain management within the UK Royal Air Force. Secondary research method will be followed
by literature review which has been based on existing data in books, journals, internet etc. all
these tools are the part of secondary research that helps to collect data through different sources
or authors. Present literature review helps to define the concept of green supply chain
management which influences UK Royal Air Force supply chain management.

1.3 Background information
Green supply chain management is the process of defining green acquisition, green
manufacturing and green distribution logistics. The main purpose of this GSCM is to reduce the
wastage of energy, solid waste or hazardous situation (). Present research will help to identify the

influences factors to increase the quality of supply chain management.
Sustainability in green supply chain management is very much necessary and required to
ensure safety. Supply chain management is required to be qualitative in order to reduce all
negative factors such as environmental degradation, increased CO2 emissions and climate
change relationship, natural inhabitants etc. the main aim of the GSCM is to determine new
techniques and innovation process to drive motivations, pressures in undertaking green supply
chain management initiatives.
1.4 Define concepts
Green Supply chain management is the concept that define quality and safety from
negative effects which is occurred into environment. In present times organisations investing on
GSCM in order to strong their sustainability growth. This is the important concept of Air force to

role in the development of secure supply chain management of Royal Air Force. This study
mainly focused on qualitative research tools. That helps to gathering appropriate knowledge of
green supply chain management within the UK Royal Air Force. Qualitative research followed
by primary data tool or secondary as well (Yadav and Barve, 2015). Research approach also
considered as the important tool of research types that helps to provide clear image of study.
Further, researcher also measuring ethical consideration to be the essential tool to keep the
research secure and ethical. Overall, all types of research methodology has focused on collecting
authentic data and information to meet the research aims and objectives. Present study will be
taking interpretivism philosophy that helps researcher to identify the best possible action plan.
Besides, current study also choose qualitative method to identify the new facts or observations.

CHAPTER 2: LITERATURE REVIEW
2.1 Introduction
Secondary research method will be followed by literature review which has been based
on existing data in books, journals, internet etc. all these tools are the part of secondary research
that helps to collect data through different sources or authors. Present literature review helps to
define the concept of green supply chain management which influences UK Royal Air Force
supply chain management. Further, research will also help to evaluate the importance of supply
chain management for UK Royal Air Force in order to ensure overall safety precautions.
Literature review also explaining the impact of green supply chain management in the context of
UK Royal Air Force.
Theme 1: To identify the concept of green supply chain management
According to Yadav and Barve, (2015) Green supply chain management which helps to
take initiatives by taking consideration of traditional approaches of supply chain. It helps to link
different operations to provide ethical or secure goods and services. GSCM follows the positive
activity to increase the environmental initiatives, profitable, widely acceptable and approachable
design full growth. Overall, supply chain management based on the process of transferring goods
and services from manufacturer, suppliers to the end consumer. Besides, green supply chain
management helps to keep that process secure and harmless for people.
According to Fahimnia, Sarkis and Davarzani, (2015) economic growth increases the
level of energy and material consumption which helps to contribute to the environmental issues
and resources depletion problems. This become the most significant facing issues for the
organisation in order to stable the balance between to regulatory, community pressure and
environmental performances. This will also help to re control the moreover, scenario of goals.
As per Hall and Roelich, (2016) concern, due to changing environment requirements that
influenced activities had increased attention in developing environmental management strategies
for the supply chain. In order to reduce all those issues, the concept of green supply chain
management has been arisen. The main purpose of the concept of GSCM is to make new
strategic approaches in order to becoming the essential factor of the making new target
performance goals.
