TOPIC SENTENCE Shops closing in the high street is positive for society / negative for society Supporting idea 1 It can be said that there are many high street shops which are getting closed in society (Hubbard 2017). It is because of covid 19 pandemic that has created an adverse impact on shops revenue and profits. Due to it they are not able to operate for long term. Thus, they are getting closed due to it. Supporting idea 2 The closing of shops is a negative development for society as it has led to decrease in overall economic growth of society. This is because closing of shops has resulted in rise in unemployment. There are large number of jobs being lost. Besides that, it has impacted on lifestyle of society as their needs are not fulfilled. The source of income has declined. Supporting idea 3 It is stated that there is negative development for society as there will be decline in overall economic growth. Hence, society growth will be impacted as well. Besides that, there will be lack of growth opportunities for people to get employed. This will led to crisis in it which bring in radical changes in society. It can also result in starting era of recession for society. b. TOPIC SENTENCE What should be done about shops closing in the high street Supporting idea 1 The first thing that can be done is to provide financial aid to high street shops so that they does not get closed. Also, it will enable them to sustain in market for long term. For that banks and financial agency can provide them loan at low interest rate. Supporting idea 2 Another things is that tax rate can be reduced on street shops so they are able to remain operate in market for long time.
