Introduction
A multinational company is a company not only do business at their home country, but also
other countries in the world. They usually will maintain their headquarter at one spot to
manage their business abroad. The characters of multinational company are:
High asset both physical and financial
Operation and production activities around the world by command from headquarter
Continued expand their business/ brand globally by forceful advertising
Advanced technology and skill
Hong Kong has her special role and advantages over the world as a gateway for foreign
investors to entry the China market, which attract many MNCs to set up their offices in Hong
Kong instead of other countries in Asia. Here is also a window for people and companies in
China to expend and promote their products to the world.
At the same time, we are facing the challenge from globalization, like talent immigration,
political environment and rapid grow of competitive countries in Asia.
The increase in number of MNCs have been changing the entire scenario of Hong Kong. This
report is focussed on understanding the change in scenario of Hong Kong. We will focus on
how do multinational companies impact the business environment in Hong Kong, and the
perception of Hong Kong people, which will included research by small scale of
questionnaire collection.

The Importance of MNCs affect Hong Kong
Import of Technical – Diversified business of MNCs import difference technical
specialists and talents with professional skill and high technology to Hong Kong. The
transfer of technology and knowledge helps Hong Kong on the economic and
productivity growth.
Employment opportunities – Setting up office in Hong Kong create job opportunities
for locals. This is also a great opportunities for locals to entry the international market.
Benefit from the globalization, MNCs help on upgrading the competitiveness of local
employees. As a result, employees can have a better lifestyle when their income increase.
Transfer of Capital – MNCs have more efficient on decision-making and flexibility on
business activities to achieve their business goal by distribute their fund. They can set up
subsidiaries or they can cooperate with local companies as joint ventures, which create
more economic activities and more capital will be transferred to Hong Kong.
Government revenue – When the government grant the permission to a MNC entry to
Hong Kong, the most advantage is income from profit tax. In addition, more employment
opportunities will increase the population of taxpayer. MNCs will also invest in
infrastructure, which can stimulate the economic growth.

Management plan
Proper planning will be performed for performing the project initiation phase. This is
the main aspect that performing better understanding management of project execution can be
performed (Chiu 2018). Requirement gathering with the help of reviewing peer-reviewed
journals and by conducting surveys and taking interviews. To avoid go too far from the
topic, a small scale of research will be more appropriate for this project which can show the
perception of Hong Kong people about MNCs impact the business environment in Hong
Kong.
Comparing initial set of projected result and the result that received will show in the
project closure stage. Risk assessment will also perform.
