Introduction
Academic skills is the related with developing learning, knowledge experience for the
purpose of achieving better outcomes and results for the purpose of achieving the laid business
goals (Entwistle, 2018). Present report is based on the developing a concept of professional and
personal development that includes different long term, medium term and short term goals for
the purpose of evaluating it in context of its relevance, reliability and purpose. Further personal
development plan is prepared based on such developed short and long term goals for individuals.
TASK 1
Concept of personal & professional development.
Professional and personal development is a continuous process that helps a individual and a
person to deal with the challenges arising in the path of personal development in order to meet
the laid down specific objectives, personal development is way a individual posses knowledge
for the purpose of achieving of positive results (Leki, 2017). Reflection is very important for
analysing the level of achievement both in case of professional and personal development to
achieve meaningful results.
Describe & discuss the value of short term goals identifying 3 personal illustrations
Setting up of goals is very crucial for the goals of achievement of success. Short term goals is
defined for planning the objectives individual wants to achieve in a coming time period f 3-5
month. It is made up so that a person can be motivated to achieve them in short time period/ in
present scenario some of the short term goals are mentioned below:

Influencing and communication skills
Making attractive presentations

Medium term goals are those that individuals are willing to achieve in a time range of 6-12
months. Medium term goals are a priority that is required to be focussed to further focus on
development of long term objectives it is crucial both for professional and personal development.
