INTRODUCTION
Academic skills are a set of study habits, cognitive tactics, and time management
systems that assist pupils in learning and absorbing education system. For most students,
learning entails far more than simply having information.This report is going to discussed
about concept of personal and professional development along with short- term, long term
and medium goals. Along with this, reliability purpose and relevance are also mentioned. At
last personal development plan is also developed with the aim of attaining all the different
goals in an appropriate manner.
TASK 1
Concept of personal and professional development.
Personal and professional development is considered as an important process by
which an organization and an individual learn to meet obstacles and achieve desired
goals.Personal development planning occurs when an individual understands what growth is
required to make room for new chances as well as efficiently seize them in order to achieve a
favourable outcome in their profession.
Describe and discuss the value of short-term goals identifying at least 3 personal examples
A short-term goal is one that can be accomplished in 3-5 months and that a person
wishes to accomplish in that time frame.It is well known that accomplishing short term goals
provides a person with drive and the capability to persevere in order to attain long term goals
as efficiently as short - term objectives.In this regard, there are some short-term goals
including:
 Communication skills
 Interpersonal skills
 Problem solving skills
