It has been observed that leadership skills are important for the leaders to manage the entire
activities of the company. If leadership skills are not present then it can be difficult for the leader
to control the activities and also to boost the efficiency of the workers in the workplace. So, in
this presentation the emphasis will be given on the leadership skills that will be used to convince
the management with the idea of improving the performance of the employees. The aim of the
presentation is to learn the skills that are required by the leaders to control the activities and also
the performance of the employees in the workplace.
So, it can be said that leaders are the individuals who are known as the head of the company or
team. They are the one who motivate the team members and also guide the employees to take
right decisions in context to the organizational activities. They are the one who have the duty to
implement the strategies in a proper manner so that it can be easy for the employees to give their
best towards the activities of the company. As, a leader it is the responsibility to convince the
board of directors so that they can implement the idea in the workplace. So, for convincing there
are various leadership skills that will be used.
We know that performance of the employees and also the engagement level are one of the
essential factors on which focus should be given. To bring improvisation in the employee’s
performance it is important for us to focus on various aspects so that it can be easy for the
employees to give their best towards the activities. It is important to bring improvisation in the
performance and it is the responsibility of the leader. As I am leader of the team, so it is my
responsibility to improve the performance of the employees. So, for bring improvement in the
performance I will be focusing on various skills so that it can be easy for the employees to
complete their assigned work.
Communication can be considered as one of the skill that can help to bring improvisation in the
overall performance of the employees. The skill related to communication can help to improve
the performance of the employees. In this it is important for us to focus on active listening as the
queries and doubts of the employees should be cleared so that they can complete their work with
efficiency. Also, it is important to focus on the factors related to clarity and transparency in the
workplace. Leaders should focus on two way communication and should explain the activities so

that the employees can have clarity towards the work. Also, group conversation should be
boosted so that opinions and feedback of the employees can be gathered easily. Improvement can
be seen when leaders focus on verbal and also written communication as it can help in reducing
the ambiguity of the employees (Arnold et al., 2015).
Motivation is also one of the skills that should be present. It is important for the leaders to
motivate the employees so that they can work with dedication. It has been observed that the
workers should be given permission for employee autonomy and also rewards should be offered
so that motivation can be enhanced. The leader should emphasize on setting the goals by
boosting the team work as it can help in boosting the performance of the employees. To boost the
motivation of the employees, it is also necessary to focus on listening to the employee concerns
and according to their concern mentoring should be given so that they can have proper
understanding of work. The advice given by the employee can also help in maintaining the
motivation level of the employees and can lead to enhancement in the overall working pattern
(Herzberg, 2017).
Positivity is also one of the aspects that can help in bringing improvisation in the overall
performance of the employees. It can be said that leaders should be positive to boost the
performance of the employees in the workplace. The leaders should focus on caring and
encouraging the employees so that they can help each other and can maintain coordination in the
work. The leaders should have the skill to manage the conflicts of the employees in the
workplace as less conflict in the workplace can boost the performance of the employees. Also, it
is important to focus on interpersonal interaction so that positive reinforcement can be generated
and also the improvement can be seen in the overall activities conducted by the employees
(Miner, 2015).
Skills related to creativity should be there as it can help to boost the analytical thinking. By
having creativity skill it can be easy for the leaders to enhance the critical thinking and also
innovative approach of the employees. If it is enhanced then it can lead to the overall growth in
the personal development of the employees. It is also important for the leaders to observe the
performance of the employees and discuss with open mind or with different views. If creativity is
there then employees can give their best towards the organizational activities. Creativity of the
employees can be improved by listening to others and also by solving the problem of the workers
