INTRODUCTIONTotal quality management (TQM) describes a management approach tolong-term success through customer satisfaction. Report is based upon the case study ofCook Meat division. This report highlights the activity which can be performed by thedirector before introducing new distribution system and also what can Director do now.MAIN BODYQ1 What should Director have done differently before introducing the new distribution systemAs per the case study, New cooked director has taken help of new and updateddistribution system to provide the best quality of product to customer, but customer has notaccepted the change very comfortably as they find that the taste of food was not as good ascompare to past. After going through case study it has observed that decision taken by theDirector was not properly planned and was also taken without any backup plan. Director shouldfollowed proper process before making decision.Identify the decision: This stage was followed by the Director as director identified thatcompany needs to provide the fresh food to consumer because earlier the food provided byorganization is unhealthy and also affects health of consumer.Gather Relevant Information: Director should gather information beforehand itself aboutwhat will happen if the decision will not be accepted by consumer in the market and what will bethe impact of same on the performance of an organization.Identify Alternative: In this stage director should have selected variety of the decision whichmay have taken by The Cooked Meat Division to solve the problem of organization (Lin &Zhang, 2019). Their were many options which was in front of the director i.e. to open morebranches to manufacture good in different location of the Canada or may have opt to improve thequality of product in such a way that food last for more day as compare to past.Weigh the evidence: It is the next stage of decision-making in which director should imaginedwhat it would be like if he carried out each of the alternatives to the end. This would help thedirector in understanding all the alternative very easily.Choose among the Alternative: It is the stage where decision maker decides what is the bestalternative available for organization to solve problem so that decision taken is accepted by allconsumer and also it does not have any negative impact on performance of organization (Kumar& Sharma 2018). Director may also take decision on the basis of information which was gatherat the above stages.3
