INTRODUCTION
Tourism and heritage management is very necessary task the management of any tourist
and heritage destination. Most people in across the world very much like to travel and explore
new places, travel sites and destinations. That’s why this travel and tourism industry has great
growth opportunities. However, currently this industry has badly affected by coronavirus
pandemic. But after good recovery rate of people from coronavirus, this industry again on its
way of development and growth (Fernández, 2018). This report includes reflection on two
experiences of visiting attraction of cultural heritage in the form of blog. This report mainly
discusses about the British Museum and the Museum of Buckingham palace. Basically, both are
very famous tourist attractions, which attracts thousands of tourists and travellers per year. Some
key relevant factors and aspects of these destinations also has been discussed in this report in the
form of reflection.

The British Museum
Currently many tourists and travellers very much like to visit the British museum. This
museum was established in 1753, in which from that time to date, the management of this
cultural heritage is fully able to properly manage this attraction. For example; existing
management of this tourist destination has provided to proper safe and secure environment,
because it has lots of security guards who are enough to fulfil different safety measures for
various tourists and travellers (Rátz, 2016). In my opinion, safety is one of prime needs of
humans, so that the management of this heritage is able to fulfil this need to humans or travellers
in very proper manner. There is another key attribute of this place which attracts me very much
that, this museum has the collection of different exclusive paintings which fully shows
effectiveness of 17th, 18th and 19th century of Great Britain.

This museum is basically non-departmental public body which has sponsored by the
department for DCMS (digital, cultural, media and sport), in which this museum includes
different things relating to DCMS. Thera was Lewis Chessmen, Mummy of Katebet, Reliefs of
Assyrian Lion Hunt, Easter Island head and Oxus Treasure really attracted me in this museum.
Recently when it was visited the British museum, then I have taken huge time to see these all
things in very proper manner in museum. The Oxus Treasure is one of my favourite zones in the
British Museum. Generally, British Museum holds the most popular collection named;
Achaemenid gold on planet in its Treasure zone (Rasoolimanesh and et.,al., 2017). In the British
museum,
These all-mentioned features of British museum are very attractive. When recently I
visited this museum, then I realised one thing that, the management of British museum always
maintain an effective balance between traditional culture and modern technology. For example;
currently management has decorated different painting within this museum with modern
colourful LED lights which attracts tourists very much towards paintings (Dore and Aitchison,
2018). That’s why in my opinion, this cultural heritage is very favourable to people who really
love to explore different new and safe tourist destinations. Great Britain has great history relating
to tradition, culture and war, in which many people visits the British Museum to see the history
of Great Britain in this museum.

Parthenon Marbles is another key attraction in this museum which has located in room
number 18 (ground floor). This attraction also has given me the best experience, because this
Parthenon Marbles is a 2500-year-old small temple which is dedicated to goddess of the Greek.
After viewing this attraction of museum, I was fully surprised and started to think to about
culture of that time. After Parthenon Marbles, I have seen Egyptian mummies in the British
museum. When I visited in the room of Egyptian mummies, I realised one thing that, few of most
famous galleries within this museum are fully dedicated to Ancient Egypt. This mummies’ room
within British museum is not based only on the culture of Great Britain, because it aware tourists
and traveller about culture of many other places or countries as well (Skjeggedal and Overvåg,
2017). This cultural heritage is fully able to give an effective experience to different tourists and
visitors. That’s why I always like to visit this place or destination. In my opinion, every person
should visit British museum once in its life to get a better cultural experience.

The Museum of Buckingham Palace
After visiting the museum British museum, recently I visited in the museum of
Buckingham palace as well. this is another key cultural heritage within the United Kingdom
which also attracts thousands of tourists itself in each year. This heritage is mainly situated in the
city of Westminster. Basically, this palace shows the loyal culture of Great Britain, in which this
also fully capable to give the best travel experience. In museum of Buckingham palace, there are
state rooms, royal mews, queen’s gallery, green park etc. was really impressed me. When
recently I visited this place, then I was responsible to pass the security checking system. This
system is managed by top-level management of this palace where each tourist or visitor is
required to show to its bags or different items to security guards for fulfilling safety measures on
own side (Stratigea and Argyropoulos, 2019). This attribute of existing cultural heritage also is
very favourable to various visitors or people.

The throne room is also very attractive within this palace, because this throne projects
that era when previous kings of Great Britain has leaded many zones of the world. Throne room
was fully decorated by with LED lights by the management of Buckingham palace. There was
Churchill war rooms also has very much impressed me, because these rooms were informed me
about the role of underground bunkers which was used by soldiers of the Great Britain in world
war two. When I have seen old army culture of this nation in these Churchill war rooms, then in
my mind I was become thankful to the management of the Buckingham palace Museum for
giving permission to people for exploring this old army culture of Great Britain. This place
within the Buckingham palace museum has given the experience of that era when Churchill was
created plans for encouraging British soldiers to victory.
I visited here to see the decency of our ancestors as well. I have believed in following our
culture, because our culture provides us an effective framework to live life with enthusiasm. In
this situation, this museum is very helpful to us in providing that framework of culture.
According to my experience, existing stuff of the museum of Buckingham palace indirectly
informs to people of this modern era that, to develop something new in the future, we always
have required to take learnings from our past. This cultural heritage has made me very energetic,
and also this heritage has played an excellent role to be inspired me to explore different cultures.

Exhibitions of Buckingham palace also has given the best experience. In this exhibition,
the management of this cultural heritage shows its collection of exclusive royal cars and other
vehicles, royal animals, watches and clocks of 17th and 18th century, royal vessel etc. By seeing
these all stuff in this museum, anyone can simply get the experience of royal culture and
tradition of Great Britain. That’s why I very much liked this cultural heritage. According to my
experience, people should once visit this heritage, because it has wide range of exclusive things
which will then to get the amazing experience of life. (Hassan, 2017). I have seen exhibitions
also in this heritage. Basically, in these exhibitions, the management of museum shows various
old and traditional weapons also to various visitors and tourists which was used by army of the
Great Britain. This museum also salutes to different brave soldiers of Great Britain. I completely
sure that, this cultural heritage has given very excellent experience.
COMPARISON
I visited two heritages the British Museum and the Museum of Buckingham palace.
These both places have given great experiences. But in both cultural heritages, I liked the British
Museum very much in the comparison of Museum of Buckingham palace. I have seen lots of
new things in these destinations which has inspired me a lot. The British museum is one of my
favourite cultural heritage attractions, because it represents the Great Britain’s tradition, art,
history and local culture. In opposite side of the British museum, there is museum of
Buckingham palace has also given me very excellent experience. It has wide range of historical
and cultural things which attracts me very much. But still the British Museum is more attractive
cultural heritage than this Buckingham palace cultural heritage. I have experienced that; the
management of British museum is more creative in comparison of the museum of Buckingham
palace. The main reason behind the last statement is that, currently existing administration and
management of this museum aware about what people very much like to see in different
museum, so that it has collected various cultural and traditional stuff within its museum zone to
attract many tourists and travellers (Petrova and Hristov, 2016).
In opposite side, the management of Buckingham palace museum is not much capable to
understand actual needs of tourist, because this management has modified its old collection of
culture and tradition. It has replaced old stuff with many modern items or gadgets. In this
situation, the management of this museum have to learn from the management of British

museum that, most tourists visit museums for seeing old culture and tradition of any place. When
any museum replaces its old stuff with new, then it will definitely lose its effectiveness (Avrami
and et.al., 2019). These all factors of both cultural heritages are enough to show to that, why I
very much like the British museum in comparison of the museum of Buckingham palace.
CONCLUSION
On the basis of above reflection on two experiences, it can be concluded that the proper
management plays very excellent role in making any tourist and cultural destination very much
effective. It can be also concluded that the British Museum and the museum of Buckingham
palace are very attractive cultural heritages in the United Kingdom. Existing stuff within these
both destinations are enough to provide the best experience to a tourist or visitor. The
management of both heritages is fully able to manage different things in very proper manner, and
that’s why both places are very famous in across the world.
