Tourism is a dynamic industry of hospitality that facilitates the services to the
customers associated with the tour and travel destinations. The tourism industry has emerged
out to be a dynamic and competitive industry globally that targets to facilitate standard
services in order to fulfill customer satisfaction, enjoyment, and safety. Thereby, travel and
tourism are recognized as one of the world’s largest industries. The tourism and hospitality
industry in British Columbia accounts employs an immense number of people in the dynamic
spectrum of diverse sectors such as travel services and transportation, entertainment and
recreation, accommodation, and services of food and beverages. The tourism industry is
associated with various domains that make up the majority of the business market and
contribute to creating job opportunities. Inbound tourism boosts the economic growth of the
region as well as the growth of job opportunities. Outbound tourism promotes the customer
base of diversified regional background or the cross cultural understanding. Following it,
tourism being the dynamic domain of business industry, it does reflect the positive and well
as the negative effects. The research paper focuses on the deliverance of an in depth study on
the understanding of what the tourism industry is along with the effects of the tourism
industry in Victoria British Columbia.
As mentioned, tourism involves a wide variety of activities, services, and industries of
the variant domain, delivering efficient travel experiences to the customers. It also includes
positive as well as negative effects on the environmental, economical, and social as well as
political grounds (García, Vázquez, & Macías, 2015). In the competitive arena of tourism in
Victoria Canada British Columbia, the travel expenses are higher, and in addition, very few

Canada, taxes are higher in comparison to other tourist destinations. Therefore, due to
complexities and the lacking of certain required services affect the economy of the region
provided with the fact that majority of the customer base seeks for convenience in

effect on the grounds of the economy of the region results from the impactful weather
conditions and political upheaval safety (Mowforth & Munt, 2015). As the economy of the
region is dependent mostly on the tourism industry, the economy is adversely affected when
the unfavorable environmental conditions steep down the profitable revenue received from
the tourism industry. Majority of the land is in high use for the recreational purpose under the
tourism industry. The land is, therefore, the fundamental resource to facilitate the recreation
of the customers under the tourism business. The sustainability of the land is directly linked
to the state of natural resources. Therefore, tourism industry is highly dependent on the
