Introduction
 It is reported that in the year of 2015, the Tourism
Gross Domestic Product (GDP) grew almost
7.4%, which is the ahead of the previous growth
rate off 2.3% (Destinationnsw.com.au 2017).
 With the special reference to the tourism data
based on Hunter Valley Region, the study would
provide the insightful knowledge regarding the
contextual analysis of the tourism development.

regions of NSW attract a smaller range of the
international visitors than Sydney.
 Regional tourism contributes largely to the

Literature Review
 According to Hashemkhani Zolfani et al. (2015), the
growing population in the regional area is one of the
biggest issues faced Hunter Valley.
 It has been observed that people over the age of 65 are the
fastest growing age group in Australia. Therefore, it is
assumed that the dependency ratio would increase quite
steadily, from 61.2% to 62.6% by the year of 2036.
 Lyons et al. (2016) pointed out that it is necessary for the
government to pay attention towards the investments on
tourism sector in these regional areas by concerning the
growing number of the tourists overnight.

Future Implications
 It can be anticipated that the shifts in the
demographic segment would benefit the tourism
economy section in the regional area.
 The emergence of the current advancements in the
technological parameter would also help in
developing international tourism in this region.
 the government also requires concentrating on the
developing the tourism policies to bring more
advancements in the tourism field.

Conclusion
