Introduction Travel and tourism in terms of UK and other countries at a global level are considered as theleading industry, which helps the nation in order to increase the level of economy. In addition tothat, the future of tourism industry in relation to the increment in the economic level of nation,have attracted the government and regulatory bodies of different countries to encourage theindustry to flourish. This concerned discourse demonstrates the scenario of tourism in the designated destination ofUK with comparing the industry to other chosen tourist destination of Stonehenge OF UK andthe pyramid of Egypt in overseas. In addition to that, this course study highlights the number ofvisitors and the generated income from the visitors. On the other hand this critique highlightsdifferent features, which might influence the tourist destinations and designated destination. Inaddition to that, this study focuses on the features which can influence the popularity of chosendestinations of tourism. LO11.1 Leading tourist destinations, visitors generators and income generation Different studies and reports have evidenced rise in the tourist visitors of UK. In the view ofWaligoet al. (2013, p.345), rise in the tourism sector of UK is helping to gain development inevery field if the nation with reference to gain of economic development. Figure 1: Tourist Arrivals to UK3

One of the major tourist destinationsof UK is considered as the Stonehenge, which is attracting a large number of tourists. Incomparison to UK, there are several other countries, which can be considered as the competitors,in terms of travel and tourism industry, such as Egypt, Japan, India, Thailand, Mexico andothers. However, in terms of the chosen tourist destination of Stonehenge, it has been found from areport that, in comparison to the year of 2016, the designated destination of Stonehenge hasevidenced to gain rise in the numbers of tourists, with an increase of 1.38 m. On the other hand,in comparison to the previous years from 2012, UK has evidenced gradual rise with a forecast39.7 million in 2017.
