Introduction
Tourism resort management is the part of Travel and Tourism which includes giving
instruction to administration to undertake activities for resort management in order to delivered
qualitative services to customers. So it manage all the activities within the hospitality industry
and providing good services to customers (Ahn and Back, 2018). Resort management includes
instruction which is given in hospitality administration and food services management.
Diamond resort and spa resort , Alanya Turkey is providing good services to customers and
satisfying need of people. The company focus on fulfilling the wants of customers in effective
way to earn huge profit margin.
The report examines critical evaluation of potential issues and challenges of managing range
of specialist resort and different type of resort. There are range of resort package to achieve sales
objectives to increase profit of resort . Decisions made in planning and proposing resort package
by analysing unique selling points and strategy applied by competitors. Further, business plan
and evaluation of sustainable approaches is discussed.

Types of resorts and their features
Beach resort – Beach resort have 2 -3 swimming pool attract with villa in which people
from across worldwide can come and enjoy their vacation. Along with it have large
selection of restaurants with buffet and a la carte, large number of bars, 10 to 20 where
people can come and eat food and beverage as per their needs. These resorts include a place
where people can go on vacation that has a beach and activities which are related to beach. It
provides entertainment for all ages that make people more comfortable in beach resort. Likewise,
there are Vacation packages facilities are provided to attract customers and more revenue can be
generated. Activities which is organized in beach resort are, swimming, pool parties, gym,
spa, kids club, boating ski, scuba diving, fishing, boat trips, surfing, wakeboarding.are
some of the facilities that are being provided by the Resort. They are organized in beach
resort and people can enjoy their trip. To attract people, managers are arranging all these
activities so that people can enjoy their trip. Along with it conference hall, kids Play Area.

Due to Climate change and the resort is situated near the beach, during peak
season beach resort suffer challenges like more extreme weather which stop customers
from coming to the resort . Due to storm beauty spot of some destinations are affected and this
is a challenge which is faced by beach resort. Another challenge which is faced by managers of
beach resort is water quality, because in case of pollution of the sea, customers cannot go
swimming.
Operational requirement for beach resort is equipment like, jet ski maintaince and storage of
equipment in proper condition are key issue as there is a high cost of buying them and then
maintaining them.
Along with it scuba diving instructors, tennis coaches are also difficult to manage. Managers are
facing issues of recruitment and retention. There is shortage of skilled employees hence it is
difficult for managers to recruit candidates who are having knowledge and essential skills to
work efficiently.
Ski resort - it means resort that is famous for skiing, snowboarding and other winter sports. Ski
resort is famous for skiing and people are enjoying winter sports. Likewise, offer lodging
options on the slopes themselves with ski-in and ski-out access allowing guests to ski right
up to the door. small selection of restaurants with buffet and a la carte, small number of
bars, 1-2, a small spa service, 1 swimming pool. Well equipped bedrooms in which two
individual can easily sleep and enjoy their vacation.
Ski lodge, equipment rental/repair shop, ticket office, shuttle bus stop, bar and parking are
different facilities offered by Ski resort. Snow storms that stops tourist from accessing the resort
and less snowfall reduces the business potential. All the services are provided to people and it
helps in attracting customers.
In Sky resort activities organized are alpine skiing, off piste skiing, cross country
skiing, paragliding, snowmobiling and racket trekking, Ice skating are providing fun and
entertainment to people. Likewise, some people are having interest in all these activities and they
enjoy.
These are some challenges which is faced by managers of ski resort are extreme weather

to maintained on continuous basis as it lead in increasing overall cost.

This attracts people because they are getting good facilities and enjoying their vacation. Mini
golf, tennis, spa, gym, football, and playground for kids are other activities that are being
introduced than golf for entertainment of people. Issues faced by this resort are booking and
revenue challenges, shortage of skilled labor.
Challenges that are faced by golf resort are, the level of competition is very high such as lot’s of
golf course being built everywhere so customers have more options to select among them in
order to satisfied their wants. As competition is increasing so managers have to make better plans
to attract people and provide good services to people.
Along with it, managers are also suffering challenges related to global warming as due to
more extreme weather in effective operation of resort. There is sudden increase in pollution
that results in causing harm to health and well being of individual living within the society
and environment.
Operational requirement are teaching staff members that are work efficiently and
professional players to mentor tourist. Another issue is recruitment and retention because there is
shortage of skilled employees who can work efficiently and focus on achieving targets.
Managers need to maintain the golf course which is very expensive as it require establishment of

customers and better products can be provided to people and their needs can be satisfied

All inclusive – It means tourism package includes all the things which is necessary for
customer like, transportation facility, accommodation, food and beverages, adventures,
sports, fun activities and games. In all inclusive package entertainment programs at night
are organised and breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks all meals. Meal vouchers are at a
variety of restaurants. There are different varieties of drinks and all this is included in
vouchers. This is to attract customers because people want good quality products at
reasonable prices and people like this. Trips are more affordable because package price is
less as compared to purchasing elements individually.
For examples: food, accommodation, drinks, activities, and entertainment are provided to
