Introduction to Transformational Leader
A Transformational leader encourages, inspires, and motivates the workforce to be
innovative and create positive change for organizational success. One such leader in the
Middles East is Omar Al-Qattan, a great philanthropist involved in charity and developments
for the people.
Key Transformational Qualities of Omar Al-Qattan
The qualities that make Omar Al-Qattan a transformational leader include self-
motivation, as depicted by his decision to lead AMQF into achieving its mission after his
father’s death. He ensures transparency in decision-making and democracy in the practices
of the foundation. He is also inspirational in his work. For instance, he encourages wealthy
people in the Arab world and the globe to fund institutions that cater to the needs of the poor
(Alliance Magazine, 2011). Other key transformation traits portrayed by Omar Al-Qattan
while leading AMQF include courage, self-motivated and clear vision, Inspiration. With clear
vision, Al-Qattan clearly communicated its vision to his followers so they can understand
what AMQF needs to achieve the vision. With courage qualities, Al-Qattan was known for
making tough decisions in relation to the sustainability of AMQF and further takes new
challenges with their risks.
Impact of Omar Al-Qattan Leadership While leading AMQF
Transformation leaders leave a mark in the organization which is felt by all
stakeholders. A.M Qattan as a transformational leader donated funds to the welfare
association and to the foundation to change the lives of the Palestinians. Furthermore, Al-
Qattan has also inspired others to contribute to welfare associations and allocate a percentage
of their wealth in the wills, which should go to charity work or providing basic needs for the
